NVIDIA says partner-built RTX Spark Windows laptops and compact desktops are due to arrive in October 2026. The platform pairs a Grace CPU with Blackwell RTX graphics and is aimed at local AI work, creative applications and gaming. October is an announced arrival window—not confirmation that every model is already available. NVIDIA and its partners have not yet established final prices, exact sale dates or full retail configurations in the sources available as of October 5, 2026.
What RTX Spark is
RTX Spark is a platform for partner-built Windows laptops and compact desktop PCs, rather than one fixed computer configuration. NVIDIA describes its design as a Blackwell RTX GPU and Grace CPU connected over NVLink-C2C. Its June announcement specifies a 20-core CPU, 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores with FP4 support. NVIDIA’s product page and September IFA update advertise up to 1 petaflop of FP4 AI performance and up to 128GB of unified memory. These are platform-level vendor specifications and claims; they are not independent benchmark results, and “up to” does not mean every retail model will include the maximum memory or deliver the same sustained performance. NVIDIA’s June announcement and its RTX Spark product page provide the specifications.

The CPU architecture is Arm-based, according to Windows Central’s coverage. That matters because an application’s availability on Windows does not by itself establish that its exact version, plug-ins, drivers or connected devices work on an Arm system. Check the individual OEM model and the software and peripherals your work depends on.

NVIDIA’s September 3 IFA update says RTX Spark PCs are coming in October 2026. The June announcement named ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface and MSI for the fall wave, with Acer and GIGABYTE models to follow. NVIDIA’s September update also says Acer showed a compact desktop concept and Lenovo announced Yoga Pro 9n and Yoga 9n 2-in-1 designs. Those mentions do not establish a firm retail date for each device or confirm that Acer’s concept is a retail product. NVIDIA’s IFA update gives the October timing and later announcements.

The announced date is a window, not a promise that all manufacturers will ship on the same day or in every country. The official sources reviewed do not provide firm per-model sale dates. Confirm the local OEM listing before treating a particular laptop or desktop as orderable.
What NVIDIA says RTX Spark can do
NVIDIA positions the platform for local AI agents, model inference and development, creative production and gaming. In its launch announcement, the company gives examples including rendering 90GB-plus 3D scenes, editing 12K 4:2:2 video, generating 4K AI video, running 120-billion-parameter language models with contexts of up to one million tokens using agents, and gaming at 1440p above 100 frames per second. These are NVIDIA’s stated examples, not results from independent testing of shipping retail PCs. Real performance will depend on the specific system, software, settings and workload. The launch announcement describes the examples.

The practical appeal is putting a substantial amount of memory and GPU capability in a Windows computer that can run local workloads. That may interest developers who want to prototype agents or inference locally, creators with demanding applications, and people who want one system for work and games. The announced figures alone do not establish that a given model will fit a particular project; wait for the OEM’s configuration details and application-specific testing.

Software and game compatibility to check
Microsoft says Windows ML enables TensorRT natively in Windows for local AI workloads. Its Windows ecosystem article names Blender, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, Redshift, Topaz Photo, CapCut, Cubase, Bitwig Studio and Affinity among creative applications running natively on Arm. Microsoft also says Photoshop and Premiere are native, with further RTX Spark optimizations. For AI and development, it lists GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ComfyUI, Cursor, CUDA-accelerated PyTorch, llama.cpp, TensorRT, Hugging Face frameworks, Unsloth and Kohya. These are Microsoft’s platform compatibility claims, not a guarantee that every extension, plug-in, peripheral or workflow works on each product. Check the exact version and components you need. Microsoft’s Windows article lists the applications and tools.

For gaming, Microsoft describes support for Epic Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye, expanded Prism emulator compatibility and the Xbox PC app. It names League of Legends, VALORANT and PUBG: Battlegrounds among supported or announced titles. This does not establish compatibility for every game, every anti-cheat setup or every accessory. If a specific title is essential, verify its status for the actual Arm-based model rather than assuming that general Windows game support settles the question.

NVIDIA’s developer guide frames RTX Spark as a lightweight Windows laptop or compact desktop for prototyping and testing larger AI models and agents, with up to 128GB of unified memory and stated model capacity of up to 200 billion parameters. Its guide positions GeForce RTX PCs for smaller-model development, RTX PRO workstations for larger models, DGX Spark as a small Linux desktop companion, and DGX Station for high-memory, multi-user AI development. This is NVIDIA’s own product positioning, not an independent comparative benchmark. NVIDIA’s developer guide describes these system categories.

What to verify before choosing an RTX Spark PC
- Exact configuration: Confirm memory, storage, GPU and CPU details on the OEM listing. Platform maximums are not proof that every SKU includes them.
- Required software: Check Arm support for the precise application version, plug-ins, extensions and development dependencies you use.
- Games and devices: Verify individual game and anti-cheat compatibility, plus drivers and support for essential peripherals.
- Form factor and workload: Decide whether you need a portable Windows laptop, a compact desktop or a dedicated Linux AI system; consider local inference needs, portability and power.
- Commercial terms: Confirm local availability, price, warranty and return policy from the manufacturer or retailer. The reviewed sources do not establish final RTX Spark prices or complete OEM SKU tables.
