The collection is a broad nostalgia grab rather than a matched set—and while the packages remain sealed, Heritage says it did not test the electronic features.
What is in the 21-figure collection?
Heritage Auctions lists the group as Lot 16021, from the Templin Legacy Collection. Its inventory spans comic books, films, television and video games, with properties from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Are the figures sealed, and do their electronic features work?
Heritage describes all 21 figures as factory sealed. That does not mean every package is pristine: the listing reports minimal to moderate shelf and handling wear, including scratches, scuffs, creases, dings, softened corners, edge wear, and some crushed or indented areas.
The electronic functions were not tested. In particular, the listing does not establish that the talking Venom or Iceman figures work. Heritage also says its condition description and photographs are general guidance and that the lot is sold as-is, so buyers should review the listing images and terms rather than treat “factory sealed” as a guarantee of package or functional condition.
What is known about the auction price?
ComicBook.com reported a $5 bid when it published its article on October 5, 2026. Heritage’s listing snapshot showed a $10 current bid and scheduled proxy-bidding close on October 4, 2026. Those are time-specific snapshots, not confirmation of the final bid or sale result; the available information does not establish what the lot ultimately sold for or whether it sold.

For context if evaluating a similar Heritage lot, the listing stated a 25% buyer’s premium per lot with a $49 minimum and noted shipping for this category could take 21–28 business days after cleared payment. These are listing policies that can change, so verify the terms on the auction page before bidding.
How to judge a mixed vintage figure lot
A cross-franchise group can be appealing precisely because it is not a uniform collection. To assess its fit and total value, check the details that affect what you are actually getting:

- Inventory: Confirm the listed figure count, named characters and any duplicates.
- Packaging: Separate a factory seal from box condition; wear can vary figure to figure.
- Features: Treat electronics as untested unless the listing explicitly says they were tested and reports the result.
- Provenance: Note any stated collection or ownership history, without assuming it proves an individual figure’s history beyond what is documented.
- Total cost: Include the buyer’s premium and shipping, not just the bid.
For this lot, the documented appeal is the unusual breadth: 21 figures crossing film, comics, television and video games. Its sealed status is recorded, but package wear is present and electronic operation is unverified.
