Nothing’s official pages identify the Phone (3a) and its Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset; its Europe page also lists a 50MP telephoto camera. Which phone is better?
There is no evidence here to name an overall winner. The published specifications point to different potential priorities: the REDMI has a larger stated display and a higher stated battery capacity, while Nothing’s Europe page identifies a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera. Those details alone do not establish which phone lasts longer, takes better photos or feels faster in everyday use.
Choose by the features that matter to you
- Display size and refresh rate: Xiaomi UK specifies a 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz on the REDMI Note 17 5G.
- Camera hardware: Nothing’s Europe page lists a 50MP telephoto camera; Xiaomi UK lists a 50MP main camera. These are different camera roles, not a direct measure of image quality.
- Battery capacity and charging: Xiaomi lists 7,700mAh typical battery capacity and 45W charging for the UK model. Its India page lists an 8,000mAh battery and says a 45W adapter is included. Regional figures and package contents should not be treated as universal.
- Performance: The named chipsets are Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 for Nothing and Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 for Xiaomi UK. Without comparable independent testing, the chipset names do not settle real-world speed, gaming performance or efficiency.
What is the price difference?
A current, like-for-like price difference cannot be established from the official product pages cited here. Price depends on the country, RAM and storage configuration, seller, taxes and current offers. Comparing a launch price in one country with a current listing in another—or different storage variants—would not produce a useful difference.

- Select the country where you will buy the phone.
- Match the RAM and storage configurations as closely as possible.
- Check both listings at the same time, including taxes, seller, warranty and any promotion.
- Account for included accessories. Xiaomi UK says the REDMI box does not include a power adapter, while Xiaomi India says a 45W adapter is included there.
Once those details match, subtract the lower current price from the higher one. Until then, treat the price difference as unresolved rather than relying on an outdated or cross-region comparison.
Check regional compatibility and box contents
Xiaomi says network-band support varies by region and local operator. If you are considering an imported REDMI, confirm that the exact model supports your carrier’s bands before buying. Xiaomi UK also specifies a hybrid SIM/microSD arrangement, so check the local model’s configuration if you need two SIMs and expandable storage. Use the published specifications to narrow your priorities, then compare current local listings for matched configurations. The REDMI’s UK-listed display and battery figures may appeal if those specifications are your focus; Nothing’s Europe-listed telephoto camera may matter if you want that camera type. Neither spec sheet proves better overall performance or image quality, and a fair price verdict requires same-market prices for equivalent variants.
