How the cameras differ
Nothing describes the Phone (3) as having four 50MP cameras, while the Phone (4a) has three cameras and a periscope telephoto camera with optical stabilization and 3.5x optical zoom. Nothing also advertises up to 70x ultra zoom for the 4a; that maximum is a zoom-range claim, not evidence that images at that level match optical-zoom quality.

The official information cited here does not provide a controlled, same-condition camera comparison, so it cannot establish a winner for image quality.

What the prices do—and do not—tell you
Nothing’s US store collection listed the Phone (3) at $549, reduced from $699, when accessed October 7, 2026. That is a live promotional listing and may change. The Phone (4a) UK product page showed £339 for the 8GB + 128GB configuration when accessed on the same date; this is an observed listing, not a guaranteed permanent price.
For its UK launch, Nothing’s March 2026 preorder terms set the Phone (4a) at £349 for 8GB + 128GB, £379 for 8GB + 256GB, and £399 for 12GB + 256GB. Preorders ran March 5–12, with delivery or pickup from March 13, 2026. These are launch terms, distinct from the later observed £339 listing.
The US dollar price and UK pound prices cannot be subtracted to produce a meaningful price difference. For a fair comparison, check both models in the same country, use the same storage capacity where available, and note when you checked. The figures above do not establish a current same-market price for both phones.

Which is better: Nothing Phone (3) or Phone (4a)?
It depends on the feature you prioritize. The documented specifications make the Phone (4a) the clearer choice if you want a stated software-support schedule or a periscope camera with specified optical zoom. The Phone (3) has the higher stated camera count, but camera count alone does not establish better results. The information available here does not support a performance ranking: the Phone (3) processor specification, matched benchmark results, and controlled photo comparisons are not established.
Regional pricing and storage matter too. A meaningful buying decision should compare local listings for the exact RAM and storage configuration you intend to buy, rather than treating the US promotional Phone (3) price and UK Phone (4a) prices as directly comparable.
