If Nothing Headphone (1) won’t connect, first unplug any USB-C or 3.5 mm audio cable, then manually enter Bluetooth pairing mode and scan again from your phone, tablet or computer. If the headphones still do not appear, refresh Bluetooth on the source device, reset Headphone (1), and only then try a firmware update in Nothing X.
1. Disconnect wired audio first
Headphone (1) gives wired audio priority: Bluetooth disconnects when it detects a wired connection. Unplug both the USB-C audio cable and any 3.5 mm Aux-In cable before trying to pair or reconnect. Nothing Support: reconnecting Headphone (1)

2. Put Headphone (1) into pairing mode
Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button for about two seconds, until the white LED starts blinking. Then open the Bluetooth settings on the phone, tablet or computer and scan for available devices. Select Headphone (1) when it appears. Nothing Support: pairing steps

3. Refresh Bluetooth on your phone or computer
If the headphones are in pairing mode but your source device cannot find them, turn Bluetooth off and back on, then scan again. If that does not help, restart the phone, tablet or computer and search once more. Nothing notes that discovery depends on both devices, so the source device’s Bluetooth logic can be the reason the headphones do not appear. Nothing Support: pairing steps
4. Reset the headphones if pairing still fails
When a Bluetooth refresh does not resolve discovery trouble, reset Headphone (1): hold the Bluetooth pairing button for 10 seconds. The documented success signal is three red flashes followed by a flashing white light. After the reset, search for the headphones from your source device and pair them again. 5. If Headphone (1) won’t reconnect
After power-on or waking, the headphones may attempt to reconnect to a previously used device. Nothing’s reconnection guidance describes a limited interval for that attempt; once it passes, manually enter pairing mode by holding the Bluetooth button until the white LED flashes, then connect through the source device’s Bluetooth settings. 6. Update firmware, then contact support if needed
If re-pairing and resetting have not restored the connection, use the Nothing X app to download and install the latest firmware. Nothing’s support instructions do not specify a firmware version here, so use the version offered by the app rather than relying on a number from an unrelated guide.
