Yes, if stealth is your priority and you can spare the materials. Guides list the Nora Silent Hunter Medium in Horizon Zero Dawn with +20% stealth and one modification slot, for 200 Metal Shards and two Watcher Lenses. It is a useful step up from the Light version, but not the strongest Silent Hunter outfit: the Heavy version has a higher listed bonus and an additional slot.
What the Nora Silent Hunter Medium does
The Nora Silent Hunter Medium is a rare, stealth-focused outfit. Game8 describes the Silent Hunter line as stitched to make its wearer harder to see and hear, and lists the Medium with “Stealth 20” and one modification slot. Neoseeker gives the Medium a +20% stealth rating. These are guide-reported in-game values, not results from independent testing.

The evidence supports treating it as a stealth choice, not as a general-purpose defensive outfit. The cited guides do not establish that it provides a particular level of protection from damage.
How to get the Medium outfit
Game8 and Neoseeker list the outfit as a merchant purchase costing 200 Metal Shards and two Watcher Lenses. Neoseeker places it at tier 1–4 merchants. That makes it a purchase to plan for rather than a free quest reward, according to those guides.

How it compares with the other Silent Hunter outfits
Neoseeker lists these values for the three Silent Hunter variants:
| Outfit | Guide-reported stealth | Modification slots | Listed cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nora Silent Hunter Light | +10% | 1 | 50 Metal Shards and 3 Blaze |
| Nora Silent Hunter Medium | +20% | 1 | 200 Metal Shards and 2 Watcher Lenses |
| Nora Silent Hunter Heavy | +30% | 2 | 800 Metal Shards and 1 Bellowback Heart |
The Medium doubles the Light variant’s listed stealth bonus while retaining one slot. Compared with Medium, Heavy adds 10 percentage points of listed stealth and a second modification slot, but costs more Shards and requires a different machine component. The better choice depends on the resources available and how much stealth you want; the listed stats do not make one outfit best for every encounter.

When the Medium is worth the cost
- Choose Medium if you want more stealth than the Light outfit offers and have the listed purchase materials.
- Keep using Light if its listed +10% stealth is enough for your needs or you would rather save the Medium’s purchase materials.
- Consider Heavy if you want the highest listed stealth bonus in this outfit line and can meet its higher cost and component requirement.
Game8 rates the Medium B-tier and presents it as a useful option while gathering resources for better equipment. That supports a qualified verdict: it can be a worthwhile mid-tier stealth purchase, not an upgrade every player should buy.

Do not confuse it with the Nora Lookout
The Nora Lookout is a separate bonus outfit. PlayStation’s blog describes that outfit as having enhanced camouflage and an extra modification slot; those details do not establish the Silent Hunter Medium’s effects. For the Medium, the guides list one slot and a +20% stealth rating.
