The Nintendo Store app is available for compatible iPhone and Android devices in regions where Nintendo eShop is available. You can browse Nintendo products, use selected Nintendo Account features, redeem codes, and check in at some Nintendo events. Signing in is optional for basic app access, but required for many functions, including purchases. Physical-item purchases through the app are limited to the United States and Canada.
What the Nintendo Store app does
Nintendo describes the app as a place to browse and purchase physical and digital products from Nintendo Store, alongside Nintendo Account-linked activity and event features. The Google Play listing specifically mentions systems, accessories, games, and merchandise. The app is a companion to Nintendo’s other services, not a replacement for every Nintendo mobile app or account feature.

Shop and follow products
You can browse Nintendo products and add items to a wishlist. The app can notify you about sales on wishlisted items. Nintendo also lists notifications for store updates, software information, wishlist game releases, upcoming expirations, drawing results, check-in events, and app updates.

View account-linked information
After signing in, users can see Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch play activity, Gold Point and Platinum Point balances, and purchase history. Older Nintendo 3DS and Wii U activity is subject to a cutoff and account-linking requirement, covered below.

Redeem codes and check in
The app supports redemption of download codes and Nintendo eShop cards. Its Check In feature can be used at select Nintendo locations and Warp Pipe Pass events. Check-in availability is selective and location-based; look under the app’s Check In / Upcoming area for participating places. Location permission and the device’s network settings may need to be enabled.
Device requirements and signing in
The US Google Play listing requires Android 10.0 or later, and the US Apple App Store listing requires iOS 16.0 or later. Both list Nintendo Co., Ltd. as the developer. Requirements and availability can differ by marketplace, so check the listing for your country and device.

Nintendo says you do not need an account simply to access the app. Sign in with a Nintendo Account to use many of its features, including purchases. The app also requires a compatible device and an internet connection; the marketplace listings note that data charges may apply.

Nintendo’s Americas support guidance says the app is available in Nintendo eShop regions and lists Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and the United States. That list is for the Americas guidance; it does not establish availability in every country worldwide. Check your local Apple App Store or Google Play listing for current availability.

App availability does not mean that every kind of purchase is available in every region. Nintendo states: “Physical item purchases are only available in the United States and Canada.” Digital products and other app features may have different availability.
Why play activity may be missing or incomplete
Recent activity can take time to appear
Nintendo says current console activity may take up to one day to show in the app. Data transfers while the console is in sleep mode and connected to the internet. A newly created Nintendo Account can take a few days to display history.

3DS and Wii U history has a cutoff
The app displays Nintendo 3DS and Wii U play data only through February 2020. To see that legacy activity, link your Nintendo Account to the Nintendo Network ID registered to the old system. Activity after the cutoff is not shown in the app.
What the app does not manage
Nintendo says the app cannot be used to change Nintendo Account settings, manage virtual game cards, manage save data or console memory, or access features of other Nintendo apps such as parental controls. Use the relevant Nintendo service or app for those tasks.

Privacy disclosures and permissions
Google Play says the developer reports that the app may collect personal and financial information among other categories, that data is encrypted in transit, and that users can request deletion. Apple says the privacy information shown for the app is developer supplied, not verified by Apple, and may vary with features and age. These are marketplace disclosures, not an independent privacy assessment. For details about Nintendo’s data practices, consult Nintendo’s privacy policy.
For location-based check-in, the app may need location permission. Only enable permissions you are comfortable with, and check the in-app list to confirm that a location or event supports check-in.
