Nintendo eShop maintenance time by region
Nintendo’s schedule gives the window in Japan time. The local times below are conversions reported by Nintendo Everything on October 4, 2026; check Nintendo’s status page for any later changes.

These are approximate scheduled times, not a guarantee that service will stop or return at an exact minute. Convert from Japan time if you are elsewhere, and confirm the listing close to the date.

Nintendo names the use of prepaid funds cards or numbers and download cards or numbers as the affected functions. Those uses may be temporarily unavailable during the listed window, so card or code redemption could fail.

The notice does not describe a full eShop shutdown or establish that browsing, purchases, downloads, or other functions will be unavailable. Avoid treating a problem with one of those services as a confirmed effect of this maintenance unless Nintendo posts an update.
What to do before the window
- If you plan to redeem a prepaid funds card or download card/code, redeem it before maintenance begins or try again after service returns.
- If redemption fails during the window, wait and check Nintendo’s Network Maintenance Information / Operational Status page for the latest notice.
- Nintendo cautions that status updates may be delayed, so a page that has not changed may not reflect the service’s condition immediately.
If eShop access problems continue outside the window
A failure outside the scheduled period is not, by itself, evidence that this maintenance is responsible. Nintendo’s eShop troubleshooting guidance recommends checking network status and trying basic steps such as restarting the console, testing another network, and confirming that the system software is current.
