Bluehost is easier to price from its public pages, but no winner can be named between Bluehost and Network Solutions from what either provider publishes. Network Solutions’ WordPress page displayed placeholder price fields instead of real prices, and no independent test compares the two on speed or reliability. What follows separates the figures each company actually shows from the claims you would need to verify yourself, and gives a checkout method for reaching a fair comparison.
What each provider publicly shows
The two companies disclose different kinds of information. Bluehost shows concrete monthly prices, renewal rates, and resource limits on its WordPress pricing page. Network Solutions shows its plan storage, site counts, and backup and domain inclusions, but the price fields on the page we checked read “$XX.XX” rather than a number. Any side-by-side price verdict would therefore be one-sided.

Bluehost’s WordPress pricing page lists two plans with a 36-month term. Both prices are promotional and tied to that term, so the renewal figure is the one to budget around.
| Plan | Displayed price (36-month term) | Renewal price | Websites | Storage | Backups on the plan page | Phone support |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| WordPress Starter | $3.99/mo | $9.99/mo | 10 | 10 GB NVMe | Weekly | Not included (24/7 chat) |
| WordPress Business | $6.99/mo | $13.99/mo | 50 | 50 GB NVMe | Weekly | Included |
The Starter plan page also lists a free domain for the first year and free Let’s Encrypt SSL. Bluehost’s pricing page states that Let’s Encrypt SSL is included with all hosting plans, and that most plans include weekly backups. Advanced daily backups and enhanced protection are sold through a Security Bundle, which is an extra cost on top of the plan.

- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
The uptime commitment
Bluehost publishes a 99.99% uptime commitment for shared hosting. If actual uptime falls below that level, eligible customers can claim a single 5% monthly credit, provided they file within 30 days. This is the provider’s own promise and its remedy. It is not a measured result, and it does not describe the experience of any particular visitor.
Network Solutions: published tiers and inclusions
The Network Solutions WordPress hosting page offers three tiers. Each lists on-demand cloud backup and an included domain. Only the two larger tiers list multisite management.

Renewal and cancellation terms
Network Solutions’ published terms say its annual web-hosting rate is billed once a year at the displayed monthly rate. Products renew automatically at the then-current rate unless canceled. Customers can cancel before renewal through account management, by phone, or by chat.

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
Free domain and SSL limits
The free-domain promotion covers one qualifying domain in the listed extensions, on an annual website-plan term. It excludes premium domains and does not apply at renewal, so the domain’s renewal cost is a separate line item. The SSL offer covers one annual term on qualifying Essential or Premium plans.
Backups and restores
Both providers advertise backups, but the published terms describe them differently, and neither source establishes how restores work.

- Dual band router upgrades to 1200 Mbps high speed internet (300mbps for 2.4GHz plus 900Mbps for 5GHz), reducing buffering and ideal for 4K stream
- Full Gigabit Ports - Gigabit Router with 4 Gigabit LAN ports, ideal for any internet plan and allow you to directly connect your wired devices
- Boosted Coverage - Four external antennas equipped with Beamforming technology extend and concentrate the Wi-Fi signals
- MU-MIMO technology - (5GHz band) allows high speeds for multiple devices simultaneously
- Access Point Mode - Supports AP Mode to transform your wired connection into wireless network, an ideal wireless router for home
- Bluehost: weekly backups on most plans, with advanced daily backups available through the Security Bundle.
- Network Solutions: on-demand cloud backup listed on every tier. Backup frequency, retention period, and any restore fees are not stated on the pages reviewed.
Treat backup frequency as a checkout question. Ask the provider in writing how many restore points are kept and whether restoring a single site is free.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Performance and reliability
Neither provider’s public material establishes that it is faster or more reliable than the other. Bluehost’s 99.99% figure is a vendor commitment. No independent test found for this comparison ran both hosts in the same location, with the same configuration, workload, and time period, so no performance ranking is supported here. If speed matters to your site, run your own test after moving a staging copy to each host.
How to compare the real checkout totals
- Open each provider’s WordPress hosting page and select the plan that matches your number of sites and your storage needs.
- Add the plan to the cart without applying any coupon. Record the amount due today and the term length shown.
- Find the renewal rate in the cart or order summary. For Bluehost, the stated renewal is $9.99/mo for Starter and $13.99/mo for Business on the 36-month term. Network Solutions should show its own renewal rate at this step.
- Add the renewal price for the domain extension you plan to keep, because free-domain offers do not apply at renewal on either provider’s stated terms.
- If you need daily backups, add the Bluehost Security Bundle to the cart and record its cost. Confirm whether Network Solutions’ on-demand backup carries an extra charge.
- Confirm the SSL term. Bluehost’s Let’s Encrypt SSL is listed as included with its plans, while Network Solutions’ SSL offer applies to one annual term on qualifying Essential or Premium plans.
- Compare the totals over the same period, such as 36 months, so the promotional rate does not skew the comparison.
Which provider fits which situation
- Choose Bluehost if you want prices, renewal rates, storage, and site limits that are published in full, and you are comfortable with a 36-month commitment to reach the promotional rate.
- Choose Bluehost Business if you need more than 10 sites, phone support, or 50 GB of storage, because the Starter plan does not include phone support.
- Consider Network Solutions if your sites match one, three, or five WordPress installs and the live checkout total beats a comparable Bluehost plan after renewal.
- Delay the decision if the Network Solutions cart still shows no clear renewal figure, because the published page cannot settle the price question.
What remains unresolved
Network Solutions’ current plan prices and renewal amounts were not readable on its public WordPress page, so no price verdict is possible. Restore terms for both providers and any independent performance data comparing the two are also not established. Until those are verified in live checkout or in writing from the provider, the fair conclusion is that Bluehost offers the clearer public price, and Network Solutions offers a clearer public feature list with a price left to confirm.
