The two 40 cm extended zones are intended to accommodate cookware of different shapes and sizes across a longer area than a fixed circular position, including cookware set laterally. This arrangement may be useful when pan size or placement varies. The documentation does not establish how reliably the hob detects every pan shape or how the flexible zones perform in everyday cooking.

What electrical supply does it need?
The specification lists a connected load of 7.4 kW and also refers to 4.6 kW output at 20 A. It describes current-management options for 16 A, 13 A or 10 A and says the appropriate option depends on the electrical installation’s fuse protection. These figures do not, on their own, show that a particular home circuit or connection is adequate.
Ask a qualified installer to check the property’s supply, fuse protection, connection arrangement and applicable local requirements against the hob’s installation instructions. Do not assume that an available current-management setting makes an otherwise unsuitable installation safe or compliant.
