How do I contact PayPal customer service?
Use PayPal’s official Contact Us flow to find the current options for your issue. Select or describe the problem—such as account access, a payment, a dispute, or business support—and follow the route PayPal displays. Its U.S. customer-service help article says the PayPal Assistant can answer questions or connect you to a live agent by chat or phone.

Because the available options depend on the issue, the contact flow is the best place to confirm whether a call is offered and to see the applicable phone details. PayPal’s contact page is for U.S. customers; if your account is registered elsewhere, use the Contact Us page for your region rather than relying on U.S. numbers or hours.
What should I do if my PayPal account is locked?
If you cannot sign in, PayPal’s official instructions say to open Contact Us, select Call Us, then choose “call us as a guest” to see phone details. This route is specifically intended for customers who cannot access their account.

When does PayPal list (888) 221-1161?
PayPal’s U.S. User Agreement lists (888) 221-1161 for customer-support matters. It also says disputes can be reported online through the Help Center or by calling that number. For dispute support, the Agreement gives these hours in Pacific Time:
- Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM–10:00 PM
- Saturday–Sunday: 6:00 AM–8:00 PM
These are the dispute-support hours stated in the U.S. User Agreement, not a guarantee that the number is the best route for every type of inquiry. Check Contact Us for the option currently offered for your specific issue.

Why is 402-935-7733 on my bank or card statement?
PayPal says 402-935-7733 may appear on a bank or card statement when a merchant uses PayPal to process a card payment. If you see it, check your recent PayPal activity for the transaction. PayPal describes this number in the context of a statement entry; it should not be treated as interchangeable with its customer-support route.
