When do NBA 2K25’s online services end?
2K Support lists December 31, 2026, as the scheduled end date for NBA 2K25 online features and services. Push Square describes the shutdown as beginning January 1, 2027. In practical terms, the official page schedules service through December 31; it does not promise that services will continue beyond that date.

The publisher statement reproduced by Push Square says that from January 1, 2027, players will no longer be able to play multiplayer games or access online modes; MyCareer and MyTeam will no longer be available, and players will no longer be able to earn Virtual Currency (VC). It also says connection-dependent features—including multiplayer, Online Leagues and community sharing—will be unavailable.

What should you consider before buying NBA 2K25?
- If you mainly want online play: the scheduled service end is December 31, 2026, so the remaining online window is limited.
- If offline modes are enough: 2K lists the modes above as offline, but check whether the specific features you want require a connection.
- If you want a physical copy: a disc is another way to obtain the exact game, but retailer stock has not been verified. A physical copy does not extend online services.
- If you prefer a later scheduled service window: 2K’s status page lists NBA 2K26 online services through December 31, 2027, and NBA 2K27 through December 31, 2028. These are scheduled dates, not guarantees that the schedules will never change.
