Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →MyZubster is an author-described experiment in turning practical community experience into structured records that can be traced, reproduced and improved—without treating every personal account as established fact. Its proposed model separates what a contributor reports, what later participants observe, what an external source supports and what is still unknown.
What MyZubster is designed to do
Daniel Ioni describes MyZubster as a community knowledge network experiment, not simply a wiki and not an AI system that decides what is true. The intended cycle is to share a practice, try it, record what happened, collaborate on open questions, review relevant evidence and update the knowledge while preserving its provenance. That description comes from Ioni’s DEV Community project articles; it is an account of the design, not an independent audit of a deployed product.

The first dataset concerns milk kefir practices: fermenting milk, filtering it, draining it into a thicker preparation, collecting whey and trying the resulting products in foods such as dough, pizza, focaccia, baked desserts and cheesemaking. These are examples of community-reported activities, not standardized recipes or food-safety instructions.

A Knowledge Card is the basic record in the described model. It can hold a stable identifier, domain, topic, contributor, evidence labels, procedure, observations, sources and unknowns. The example identifier KF-003 is illustrative, as are the prefix families the author gives for fermentation (KF-*), Monero (XMR-*), sound systems (SND-*), programming (DEV-*) and universities or research (UNI-*).

Evidence labels describe different kinds of support
The project article names five evidence states: PERSONAL_PRACTICE, TRADITIONAL_PRACTICE, OBSERVATION, EXTERNAL_SOURCE and VERIFIED_GUIDANCE. These should not be read as interchangeable grades on one simple scale. They identify different bases for a claim: a contributor’s own practice, a traditional practice, an observed result, an external source or guidance that has been verified.
A personal report can be useful without becoming verified guidance. A later participant may add an observation, but repeating an activity does not by itself establish a scientific conclusion. Similarly, attaching a paper to a card does not verify every statement in it: the source should be connected only to the particular claim it supports, a distinction also made in Ioni’s companion article on kefir practices.
Unknown means unknown—not an invitation to guess
The stated rule is to preserve missing details rather than silently make them precise. If someone says kefir sat in a refrigerator for “a few days,” the record should not turn that into “72 hours at 4°C” unless the contributor actually supplied those measurements. The duration and temperature remain unknown. Ioni summarizes the principle as “Never silently invent missing information” and “UNKNOWN is not bad data.”

How provenance survives editing and reuse
The model distinguishes a contributor’s original report from later formatting, identifier assignment, software transformations and inference. AI-assisted normalization may help structure information, but the original account should remain traceable, and an inferred value should not appear as though the contributor measured it.
This distinction matters whenever a community record is reused. A transformed or summarized card can be easier to search, but readers need to see where its content came from and which details were added later. MyZubster’s stated design aim is to retain that trail rather than collapse all versions and claims into one apparently authoritative entry.
How the graph connects knowledge to follow-up work
The described Knowledge Graph links records with relations such as DERIVED_FROM, PRODUCES, USES_OUTPUT_OF, REPRODUCES, NEEDS_RESEARCH, NEEDS_PROGRAMMING, NEEDS_TESTING and RELATED_TO. Instead of leaving an open question as a dead end, a card can indicate what depends on it, what it produces or what work could clarify it.

A Collaboration Request, identified with a COL-### pattern in the examples, can ask for programming, research, design, testing, documentation or mentoring. The article’s examples connect a knowledge record to work such as investigating a question or collecting a missing measurement. These identifiers and workflows illustrate the model; they are not evidence of a particular public service or number of active contributors.
Why reproductions are separate records
When someone tries an existing practice, the proposed Reproduction Engine creates a new record—for example, REP-001—and links it to the original card with REPRODUCES. The new record is intended to capture that participant’s own procedure and observations, including differences from the original attempt, instead of rewriting the original contributor’s account.
The companion article presents an illustrative reproduction structure that can include participant, date, source card, ingredients, procedure differences, duration, temperature, result and feedback. This is an example of the proposed data model, not confirmation that every field is implemented in a publicly available product.

- Hamlet is a medium weight competitive village builder where players are communally turning their hamlet into a bustling little town, by completing the construction of the church.
- Hamlet features irregular shaped tiles that connect together without a grid to form a village that is completely different every time.
- The tile placement organically creates interconnecting paths that the villagers use to access buildings.
- Distance between buildings matters, as resources need to be transported from one building to another. This leads players to construct boards where no two games will ever feel the same.
- Since the buildings are communal, this also creates a fluid economy, where players need to adapt to the emergent needs of their Hamlet.
What the author says is implemented—and what is next
In the project article, Ioni says the repository contains beginnings of an executable knowledge protocol, including Knowledge Cards, evidence states, provenance, preservation of unknowns, a graph, collaboration requests, reproduction records, collaboration results, verification reviews, integrity checking, global ID allocation and atomic graph persistence. This is the author’s status report; the article does not independently establish code quality, deployment or adoption.
The author describes record-plus-graph transactions as future engineering work. One stated approach for an atomic graph write is to write to a temporary file, validate it and then replace the graph file. The next step described is making changes to a record and its graph transactional together, followed by an application layer so contributors would not need to edit Markdown or JSON directly.
The broader proposed sequence in the companion kefir article includes structured submissions, automatic identifiers, AI-assisted normalization, evidence validation, card generation, reproduction tracking and claim-level evidence. It is a roadmap, not a list of stages shown to be complete.

Where the project might extend beyond kefir
Ioni says kefir is the first dataset and that the protocol is being designed with other domains in mind. The named possibilities include Monero, sound systems, programming, and university or research knowledge. They are contemplated areas, not demonstrated mature deployments. A later first-party article frames the project’s direction around open-source contributions, technical knowledge, verifiable evidence, contributor identity and collaboration opportunities; those points remain the author’s account of the project.
What MyZubster’s model does—and does not—establish
The design is notable for the boundaries it aims to keep visible: a personal practice is not automatically verified guidance; an observation is not a scientific conclusion; a linked source supports only the claims it actually addresses; and missing measurements should not be invented. Separate, linked reproductions can add new accounts without overwriting the original, while graph relations can point toward additional work.
Those are design intentions described by the project’s author, not independently demonstrated comparative advantages over a wiki, recipe archive or conventional knowledge base. The source material does not establish user adoption, fermentation safety, scientific validity, public hosting or production deployment across the proposed domains. As Ioni puts it, “MyZubster is still an experiment.”
