My Cloud & DevOps Journey: Building Cloud Guard and Practicing Linux Infrastructure

Arun Vishwakarma connects Cloud Guard development, Linux infrastructure labs, Kubernetes practice, and deployment workflows through a hands-on Learn–Implement–Test–Document–Improve approach.

Arun Vishwakarma’s account connects app development, Linux administration, Kubernetes practice, and deployment into one beginner-oriented Cloud and DevOps learning path. Its central method is “Learn → Implement → Test → Document → Improve”: build practical projects, record what happens, and use that experience to guide the next iteration. The projects are described by their author, not independently audited.

What this Cloud and DevOps journey covers

The DEV Community post presents a learner’s progress through hands-on projects rather than a product review or a comparison of training routes. Its strands include a Flutter and Firebase application, Ubuntu/WSL infrastructure labs, Kubernetes practice using Minikube and Docker Desktop, and workflows for version control, builds, and deployment.

The connection between them is the working cycle Arun Vishwakarma describes: “Learn → Implement → Test → Document → Improve.” In practical terms, a concept becomes a project, the project gets tested and recorded, and the notes and results inform subsequent changes.

That reference sits alongside the broader workflow in the post: Git and GitHub for version control, project documentation and release management, Flutter web deployment, and Android build and release work. The stated sequence is development, testing, version control, build, and deployment.

What readers can take from the approach

The account offers a useful model for a Cloud Engineering and DevOps learner and practitioner: connect app work with infrastructure practice, and treat documentation and iteration as part of the work rather than an afterthought. The projects show different kinds of practice—application development, Linux administration, and local Kubernetes exercises—without claiming that one is a substitute for another or that any single route is superior.

For readers following a similar path, the most concrete takeaway is to make each exercise observable and repeatable: keep the work in version control, record what was configured and tested, and distinguish a lab result from a production guarantee. That keeps project learning useful even when the next project changes tools or scope.
