The Motorola Edge 70 Max and Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro differ most clearly in display size and resolution, battery capacity, and regional availability. Motorola’s India listing shows ₹54,999 (MRP ₹89,999), while Xiaomi’s China store lists the Redmi K100 Pro from RMB 3,999 for a selected 12 GB + 256 GB configuration. Because those prices are from different markets and currencies, they do not establish which phone costs less.

Which phone has the better display?
The Edge 70 Max has the larger screen and higher listed resolution: 6.82 inches at 1440 × 3168, compared with the K100 Pro’s 6.59 inches at 2510 × 1156. The Xiaomi listing gives the K100 Pro the higher maximum refresh rate, up to 185 Hz versus Motorola’s 144 Hz. A higher refresh ceiling can support smoother motion, but it does not by itself establish overall display quality; resolution, brightness, tuning, and how a phone uses its refresh modes also matter.

Performance: chipset names are not a speed test
Motorola specifies a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while Xiaomi lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series. These are different chipset names, but the available specifications do not establish which retail phone is faster in everyday use, gaming, or sustained workloads. That requires independent tests of the exact devices and software versions, not an inference from the names alone.
Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi lists the larger battery at 8,580 mAh and 100 W wired charging. Motorola lists 7,100 mAh, 90 W TurboPower wired charging, and 25 W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, as well as 5 W wired reverse charging. Those figures describe capacity and rated charging support, not measured screen-on time or time to recharge. Real-world battery life and charging speed depend on usage, temperature, charger, and charging protocol; check whether the appropriate charger is included with the version sold in your market.

Motorola advertises up to 73 hours of battery life, but says the figure is approximate and dependent on conditions. It should not be read as a guaranteed runtime or directly compared with Xiaomi’s capacity figure.
Camera hardware: what the listed specs do and do not tell you
Motorola lists a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with optical image stabilization, an 8 MP ultrawide with autofocus and macro capability, and a 32 MP front camera. Xiaomi’s China store summarizes the K100 Pro’s rear cameras as 200 MP + 50 MP + 8 MP; the cited listing does not state its front-camera resolution.

These specifications identify resolution and some hardware features, not which phone takes better photos or video. Megapixel counts alone cannot settle image quality. If camera performance is a priority, compare controlled sample photos and video from the exact models, including low-light, portrait, ultrawide, and moving-subject results.

Price difference: the listings are from different countries
Motorola India displays ₹54,999 with an MRP of ₹89,999. Xiaomi’s China store lists the Redmi K100 Pro from RMB 3,999, with 12 GB + 256 GB selected. The amounts describe separate regional listings, with different currencies, taxes, sales conditions, and potentially different configurations. They cannot support a reliable claim that one phone is cheaper by a particular amount or percentage.

Motorola’s support sheet notes that specifications may vary by market. Its page lists security updates through July 2031 and describes OS updates as “Upt to 3 years,” an apparent typo that leaves the intended OS-update commitment unclear. Verify that commitment with Motorola rather than treating the phrase as definitive.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Edge 70 Max if you want the larger, higher-resolution listed display, Qi2 wireless charging, and a phone with an India listing.
- Consider the Redmi K100 Pro if its larger listed battery, higher maximum refresh rate, or China-market configuration appeals to you—and you have confirmed regional compatibility, service, and total landed cost.
- Do not choose based only on chipset labels or camera megapixels. The cited listings do not provide an exact-device benchmark or a controlled camera comparison.
- Do not use the two listed prices as a direct price-difference calculation. Compare same-market offers for equivalent configurations before deciding on value.
