The vivo V80 5G has the higher advertised display refresh rate and larger stated battery capacity; the Motorola Edge 60 Pro specifies a 50 MP ultrawide camera and 15 W wireless charging. Neither specification sheet establishes which phone performs better in everyday use. Prices also need a like-for-like check: the available listings do not confirm matching storage configurations.

What the display and battery figures mean
Refresh rate
vivo advertises a maximum 144 Hz refresh rate, compared with Motorola’s up-to-120 Hz specification. The vivo India product page says 144 Hz is supported only by selected applications, so the maximum does not necessarily apply across the interface and every app. A higher stated ceiling alone does not establish a better viewing experience.
Battery capacity and charging
vivo gives both typical and rated capacity: 7,200 mAh and 7,015 mAh, respectively. Its product page also reports laboratory results of 14 hours of navigation and 39.5 hours of local video playback. Those figures apply to specified single-app and standby conditions at 23°±2°C with a fully charged phone; actual use may differ. Motorola lists a 6,000 mAh battery.

Both phones list wired charging up to 90 W, but that does not establish equal charging times. Motorola also specifies 15 W wireless charging; the reviewed vivo specifications do not list wireless charging.
Camera hardware: a 3x telephoto on both
Both manufacturers specify stabilized 3x telephoto cameras: Motorola lists a 10 MP unit with OIS, while vivo lists a 50 MP IMX882 unit with OIS. Motorola explicitly specifies a 50 MP ultrawide camera. vivo describes a ZEISS ultrawide, but its reviewed product page does not state that camera’s megapixel count. The hardware descriptions do not show which phone takes better photos; that requires comparable sample-based testing.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Software support is stated differently
Motorola’s India support specifications list Android 16, three OS upgrades, and four years of security maintenance releases. vivo advertises up to six years of extended security updates counted from the initial global launch, while noting regional and model availability may vary. These statements describe different parts of support and are not directly equivalent: vivo’s cited promise concerns security updates, while Motorola’s statement includes a number of OS upgrades as well as a security-maintenance period.

Price listings observed on 7 October 2026 are snapshots, not fixed prices. Motorola India displayed an offer price of ₹33,999 against an MRP of ₹40,999. Smartprix listed ₹33,596 for the Motorola Edge 60 Pro with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and ₹62,999 for the vivo V80 5G; the vivo listing did not establish the storage variant.
These figures come from different source types, and the vivo configuration is unclear. They do not support a reliable price-gap calculation. Check current stock and compare the same RAM and storage configurations at the same retailers before deciding which costs less.
Quick Recap
Which specifications may matter most to you?
- For the higher advertised refresh-rate ceiling and larger stated battery: the vivo V80 5G leads on paper, with the app limitation and battery-test conditions noted above.
- For a specified ultrawide resolution and wireless charging: Motorola lists a 50 MP ultrawide camera and 15 W wireless charging.
- For zoom: both specify OIS-equipped 3x telephoto cameras. Look for independent photo samples before judging image quality.
- For price: compare live listings for matching configurations; the available snapshots are not a like-for-like comparison.
