The Motorola Edge 60 Pro has the stronger listed hardware for display resolution, battery capacity, charging options and camera versatility. Samsung’s Galaxy A37 5G stands out for its published long-term software-support commitment. There is no reliable single price difference without choosing a country, date and matched configurations: Samsung announced a US starting price of $449.99, while a comparable current Motorola price has not been established.

Which phone has the better display?
Both phones have 6.7-inch displays with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Motorola lists a higher resolution—2712 × 1220—on its pOLED panel; Samsung describes the A37’s screen as FHD+ Super AMOLED. That gives the Edge 60 Pro the more detailed published specification, but resolution and panel type alone do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use. Brightness, color tuning, reflections and individual preference also affect the experience, and the cited specifications do not provide a comparable independent screen test.
How do the cameras differ?
Motorola: adds a telephoto camera
The surfaced 91mobiles comparison lists a 50 MP main camera, 50 MP ultra-wide, 10 MP telephoto with up to 3× optical zoom and a 50 MP front camera for the Edge 60 Pro. The telephoto lens gives it a dedicated camera option for zoomed-in framing.

Samsung: includes a macro camera
Samsung’s official A37 table lists a 50 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide, 5 MP macro and 12 MP front camera. Its rear-camera set includes a macro lens rather than a listed telephoto. These specifications describe different hardware choices, not which phone takes better photos: megapixel counts and lens types cannot establish image quality without comparable testing.
Battery capacity and charging: Motorola lists more options
Motorola lists a 6,000 mAh battery, 90 W TurboPower wired-charging capability and 15 W wireless charging for the Edge 60 Pro. Samsung gives the Galaxy A37 a 5,000 mAh typical battery capacity, but its cited specification table does not state a charging wattage. Neither cited source establishes that a charger is included in the box, so check the package contents for the exact regional model before buying.
Battery capacity and charging ratings do not predict how long a phone lasts between charges. Screen use, signal strength, software and other conditions influence endurance. A 91mobiles page shows battery-test figures of 8 hours 27 minutes for the Motorola and 11 hours 50 minutes for the Samsung, but the methodology was not established in the available comparison material; treat those figures as attributed third-party results, not a controlled or independently validated head-to-head conclusion.

Motorola lists the Edge 60 Pro at 186 g and 160.69 × 73.06 × 8.24 mm. The A37 is listed at 196 g and 162.9 × 78.2 × 7.4 mm. On these published measurements, the Motorola is lighter and narrower, while the Samsung is thinner.
The Edge 60 Pro’s listed ratings are IP68 and IP69, along with MIL-STD-810H certification; the A37 is rated IP68. These are protection classifications, not a promise that either phone is damage-proof. Samsung says its IP68 laboratory rating covers submersion in up to 1.5 m of fresh water for up to 30 minutes, is not a recommendation for beach or pool use, and can diminish with wear. The cited Samsung announcement does not give equivalent test-condition detail for the A37 beyond its IP68 rating.

Software support: Samsung publishes a specific commitment
Samsung says supported Galaxy devices will receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from first global launch. The announcement qualifies that timing and availability may vary by device and market. The cited Motorola specification page does not provide a directly comparable update commitment, so this evidence does not establish that Motorola offers less support; it means Samsung’s stated commitment is clearer in the sources cited here.
Price difference depends on country and configuration
Samsung announced a US Galaxy A37 5G starting price of $449.99, with US availability beginning April 9, 2026. That is a launch MSRP, not a guaranteed current retail price. The announcement lists US configurations of 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage.
No comparable current Motorola price was verified. Motorola’s UK support page lists a 12 GB RAM/512 GB storage configuration and cautions that specifications vary by market, so it cannot be matched fairly to Samsung’s US configurations using the available price information. Prices shown on a comparison or marketplace page in another country are separate offers, potentially for different variants, and do not establish a global price gap.
For a useful local comparison, check both phones in the same country and on the same date, match RAM and storage as closely as possible, and compare the same type of seller and warranty. Convert neither a launch MSRP nor a regional marketplace offer into a universal price difference.
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Edge 60 Pro if the listed higher-resolution display, larger battery, wireless charging, telephoto camera, lighter weight or additional protection ratings are your priorities.
- Choose the Galaxy A37 if Samsung’s stated software-support commitment is important, or its main-plus-ultra-wide-plus-macro camera arrangement better matches how you take photos.
- Make price the deciding factor only after comparing current local listings for matched storage configurations; the available figures do not support a like-for-like price verdict.
Neither specification sheet proves which phone is faster in daily use, lasts longer in real-world conditions or takes better photos. Those judgments require comparable testing rather than extrapolation from component counts or ratings.
