The Moto G57 Power is the battery-first choice, with a stated 7000mAh capacity and an ultra-wide rear camera. The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has the more premium display specification, a higher-resolution selfie camera, faster stated charging, a lighter body and microSD expansion. Which is better depends on what you value—and any price gap should be checked against the exact variant and current local listing.

Specifications are from the manufacturers’ India pages, accessed October 7, 2026: Motorola’s Moto G57 Power specifications and Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 SE 5G specifications. Their display-brightness figures use different stated conditions, so they are not a direct brightness test. Camera megapixels likewise do not establish which phone takes better photos.

Which phone has the better display?

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is the stronger choice on the listed display type: Xiaomi specifies a curved AMOLED panel, while Motorola lists an LCD for the Moto G57 Power. Both manufacturers state a 120Hz refresh rate, and the Redmi screen is slightly larger at 6.77 inches versus 6.72 inches.

Motorola lists up to 1050 nits in high-brightness mode; Xiaomi lists 3200 nits peak brightness. Because these are manufacturer figures tied to differing conditions, they should not be read as a like-for-like measurement of outdoor visibility.

Which has the better battery and charging?

The Moto has the larger stated battery: 7000mAh compared with the Redmi’s 5800mAh typical capacity. That makes the Moto the clearer choice if capacity is your priority, but capacity alone does not prove which phone lasts longer in real-world use. Motorola advertises “Up to 60 hours battery life*”; that is the manufacturer’s claim, not a matched independent battery-test result.

The Redmi has the higher specified charging rate at 45W, compared with the Moto’s 33W. Xiaomi says the charger is included in the box. Wattage alone does not establish actual charging time under comparable conditions.

How do the cameras differ?

The rear camera setups serve different needs. The Moto pairs its 50MP main camera with an 8MP ultra-wide, which gives it a dedicated wider-angle option. The Redmi pairs a 50MP main camera with a 2MP depth camera and has no ultra-wide listed in Xiaomi’s specifications.

For selfies, Xiaomi lists a 20MP front camera, against Motorola’s 8MP. That is a higher resolution on paper, not proof of better image quality; the specifications do not provide a matched camera test.

Which offers more storage and a lighter build?

The Redmi gives buyers more choice: Xiaomi lists 128GB and 256GB configurations, plus microSD expansion up to 1TB using a hybrid SIM/microSD slot. The Moto specification page lists one configuration, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and says a memory card is not available. With the Redmi, using a microSD card may affect how you use the hybrid slot; check the SIM arrangement you need.

The Redmi is also lighter according to the listed weights: 178g for two colors and 182g for Crimson Reserve, versus 210.6g for the Moto. The Moto’s listed extras include a 3.5mm headset jack, Gorilla Glass 7i and MIL-STD 810H. Xiaomi lists IP65 + IP66 protection, while Motorola lists IP64. IP ratings describe specified test conditions; they do not make either phone waterproof in ordinary use. Xiaomi cautions that its resistance applies under specified laboratory conditions and that liquid damage outside warranty conditions is not covered.

Which is better for you?

Choose the Moto G57 Power if you prioritise

  • The larger stated 7000mAh battery capacity.
  • A dedicated ultra-wide rear camera.
  • The Android 16 listing on Motorola’s India specification page.
  • A 3.5mm headset jack.

Its trade-offs are an LCD rather than AMOLED, an 8MP selfie camera, higher listed weight and no memory-card expansion listed by Motorola.

Choose the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G if you prioritise

  • A curved AMOLED display and slightly larger listed screen.
  • A higher-resolution 20MP front camera.
  • 45W stated charging and a charger listed as included in the box.
  • A lighter listed body, expandable storage or a 256GB internal-storage option.

Its trade-offs are a smaller stated battery capacity and a 2MP depth rear camera instead of the Moto’s ultra-wide camera. The manufacturer pages list Android 16 for the Moto and Android 15 with HyperOS 3 for the Redmi; they do not establish a directly comparable software-update duration.

How to make the final choice

  1. Check the live India price for the exact RAM/storage variants you would buy, from the same seller or on equivalent terms.
  2. Decide whether the Redmi’s display, lighter build, selfie resolution and storage options are worth its local premium to you.
  3. If capacity and an ultra-wide camera matter more, weigh those Moto advantages against its LCD, weight and lack of listed expansion.

If the Redmi is still about ₹4,000 more where you shop, treat that as a prompt to weigh its specific advantages—not as a universal value verdict. The difference can shift with variant, seller and offer.
