Short answer: The official sources reviewed do not document built-in cheat codes for Mortal Shell II. The game does have an external PC trainer listed by a third party, but it is not an in-game code and may stop working after updates. For weapons, the Iconoclast is obtained in the prologue; the other main weapons are found through dungeon progression and exploration.
Are there cheat codes in Mortal Shell II?
The publisher and PlayStation Store pages reviewed describe the game’s features but do not document built-in cheat codes. That is not proof that no undocumented code exists; it means there is no official code list to rely on.

A third-party WeMod Community page lists a PC trainer with cheat-like options such as unlocking shells, weapons and sidearms, changing resources, and revealing the map. It is an external tool, not a game feature or publisher-approved method. Its update history runs through September 22, 2026, and users have reported compatibility problems after game updates. How many weapons are there?
Weapon totals vary because guides count different categories. KeenGamer lists eight main melee weapons for the Lord of War achievement. GameSpot counts 16 weapons across melee weapons and sidearms. The PlayStation Store describes more than 80 dungeons, and the publisher presents the world as interconnected, with hidden structures to find. PlayStation also says exploration can uncover warriors, story elements, weapons and upgrades. Where to unlock the eight main melee weapons
Spoilers: The route and boss names below reveal progression details. KeenGamer’s guide says missed weapons can be revisited later. Activate nearby Beacons as you enter new regions to make it easier to keep track of areas to return to.

A hidden sidearm route: the Forgotten Crossbow
GameSpot identifies the Forgotten Crossbow as a sidearm in the Flooded Village dungeon. Its guide describes reaching it through a boarded stone arch, progressing through the dungeon to get the Damp Key, then returning to the locked door. It is one example of why a route that looks blocked may require exploring deeper before backtracking. See GameSpot’s directions for weapon locations for the full route.
Exploration tips that help you find missed rewards
- Check side paths and dungeons. The official PlayStation listing advertises more than 80 dungeons and says wandering can reveal warriors, story elements, weapons, upgrades and curiosities.
- Use Beacons as regional reminders. KeenGamer recommends activating nearby Beacons when entering new regions, and says weapons can be revisited if missed.
- Expect combat to reward timing and tactics, not stamina management. The publisher says combat is unrestricted by a stamina gauge and emphasizes breaking enemy posture to create opportunities for critical strikes. Treat that as the publisher’s description of the system, not a guarantee that every encounter is easy.
Platform and edition context
The US PlayStation Store lists Mortal Shell II for PS5 with an August 20, 2026 release date; the official site presents the game as available now. The trainer mentioned above is for PC, so it is not a console cheat option.

The official site describes a physical PS5 Revered Edition with a physical artbook, steelcase, fine art prints and digital extras. It also says the edition is sold out in most territories.
