To unlock the Mango Mask in Mortal Shell 2, find Mether’s Flesh in a hidden chamber beneath the Pulsing Caves Beacon, offer it at the Nightfish altar near the Outskirts of Nochte, and collect the giant Mango in Mango Sanctuary. Then equip the Mango in the passive item slot and select the Mango Mask under Change Masks at a Beacon. Guide sources describe the mask as a Harbinger cosmetic that appears only when you are outside a Shell.
Find Mether’s Flesh beneath the Pulsing Caves Beacon
- Travel to the Pulsing Caves Beacon at the northernmost Corrupt Gate in Sanguine Caverns.
- Turn back from the Beacon and look for a hole in the ground. Drop through it; NerdsChalk’s guide recommends attacking while falling to avoid landing damage.
- Go past the explosive enemies near the torch, then strike the breakable stalactite wall to open the hidden chamber.
- Take Mether’s Flesh from the podium beside the chest. The chamber also contains Dursilite, but it is not needed for the Mango Mask route.
This route is reported by NerdsChalk’s Mango Mask guide; the iMaps Mortal Shell 2 map places the Mango Mask in the Ruins of Nochte and lists collecting the Mango in Mango Sanctuary as its requirement.

Offer Mether’s Flesh to the Nightfish
- Travel to the Outskirts of Nochte Beacon.
- Follow the route to the waterside cave and the altar overlooking the Nightfish.
- Offer Mether’s Flesh at the altar. The Nightfish transports you to Mango Sanctuary.

Collect the Mango and activate the mask
- Follow the single path through Mango Sanctuary to the giant Mango.
- Interact with the Mango to collect it. NerdsChalk reports that this also unlocks the Ascension achievement.
- Equip the Mango in the passive item slot.
- At a Beacon, open Change Masks and choose Mango. The guide describes the resulting cosmetic as a Harbinger appearance that renders outside a Shell.
Choose between the active heal and the passive mask
The Mango’s reported active and passive uses serve different purposes. NerdsChalk reports a 50% health restoration from active use, or 75% in New Game Plus; the Mortal Shell 2 Wiki Mango entry also reports a 50% first-level active heal and the passive Mango-mask effect. These are secondary-source descriptions, not mechanics confirmed by an official publisher or patch source.

NerdsChalk says the Mango appears once per playthrough. Since that limit and the New Game Plus heal are not confirmed by a primary source, treat them as guide-reported details when deciding whether to use the active effect or keep the item passive for the mask.
