The Damp Key is in the rear of Flooded Village, beside a raised, torch-marked house. Pick it up around the house’s porch and nearby crate, then return to the locked door you passed while descending into the village. The room beyond contains the Forgotten Crossbow, an in-game ranged Sidearm.
Where to find the Damp Key
Look in the back portion of Flooded Village, in Fainweald. The shared landmark in available game guides is an elevated house marked by torches; search the porch and nearby crate area for the key. Accounts differ on whether the pickup is outside the house or around its rear porch, so use the house as your guide rather than relying on a precise side or position. Route from Blackridge Pass Beacon
- Start at Blackridge Pass Beacon, if it is available.
- Break the boards covering the stone arch and follow the revealed route into the tower.
- Descend through the tower and take the elevator into Flooded Village. Note the locked door on the way down; you will return to it after finding the key.
- Make your way to the elevated, torch-marked house in the settlement’s rear section and search around its porch and nearby crate for the Damp Key.
- Backtrack to the locked door and use the key. Enter the room and collect the Forgotten Crossbow.

Starting from Widow’s Overlook
If Blackridge Pass Beacon is not available, one guide describes reaching the same lower-crag area from Widow’s Overlook. From there, follow the route toward the stone arch and continue through the tower and elevator to Flooded Village. The Beacon is the direct route anchor; Widow’s Overlook is an alternate approach, not a different key or reward route. GamePressure outlines the alternate start.

Which locked door contains the crossbow?
Use the locked door you passed on the descent as the dependable landmark. Guides variously call the destination a locked room, a central building, or a chapel, so the names are not fully consistent. The reported sequence is consistent: the Damp Key opens the locked space, and the Forgotten Crossbow is inside. TheGamer and IGN describe the key-to-weapon route.
