Where is the Wandering Shepherd?
Nerd’s Chalk’s guide, updated August 21, 2026, places the encounter in a fenced pasture just past the Sunken Village Beacon. From the Beacon, cross the bridge in front of it and enter the fenced area where sheep are gathered. Mind the naming distinction when using map references: the available map page labels its pins as Open Beta data and warns that it is not a complete retail map. - Stay on the main target: Close the distance and keep damage on the Shepherd. When he teleports, reposition and chase him instead of waiting in place.
- Keep moving: Avoid backing into corners, where the flock can surround you. Move or dodge during the brief transformation into a sheep.
- Handle only urgent adds: Attack sheep when they are crowding you or when a kill creates a Riposte opening. The guide reports that killing sheep also feeds an ability gauge, but advises against clearing the entire flock.

A community guide checked August 23, 2026 reports that defeating the Shepherd opens a sheep-pen Gloom loop and a gap leading toward a chest containing Etching Needles.
