Mortal Shell II has 53 achievements on Steam, according to Valve’s Steam Community listing for 2026. That confirms the Steam total, not the number or wording of trophies on PlayStation 5 or achievements on Xbox Series X|S; check the live list for your platform before planning a 100% run. Some route and missable warnings below come from community guides and may change with patches.
The safest approach is to keep a normal save, collect as you explore, and treat entries without a public objective as unknown until the game or your platform’s list reveals them.

How many Mortal Shell 2 achievements are there?
Steam lists 53 achievements. The official Steam Global Achievements page is the primary checklist for the PC version. The official PlayStation Store and Xbox Store listings confirm the game’s console availability, but do not establish that their trophy or achievement lists match Steam entry for entry. This guide therefore reproduces Steam names and only the objectives displayed on that page.
Several entries have no objective text in the public Steam view. They are marked Objective not visible below; those labels are not a claim that the achievement is secret in-game or impossible to complete.

Before you start: protect your save and check your platform
Keep the Slayer Seal warning in mind
Independent references report that equipping the Slayer Seal disables achievement progress on that save. One reference reproduces an in-game warning, but the official sources cited here do not independently document the rule. Read the prompt carefully and avoid equipping it on a save you intend to use for completion unless you are willing to accept that reported consequence. Do not rely on a universal missable list
Fan guides flag prologue- and route-sensitive risks, but disagree on which achievements are missable and whether New Game Plus can recover them. Without verified current-build routes, there is no reliable definitive missable count here. If a trophy matters to you, check its current objective and route requirements before leaving an area or making a major story choice. Treat community route advice as patch-sensitive rather than guaranteed.

How to organize a completion run
Track broad objectives as you explore
The published objectives show that completion spans story locations, Shell unlocks and bonding, weapons and sidearms, Map Fragments, Ova, Tarstones, beacons, Lute Tracks, Shell Memories, and finishing the game. Keep a personal checklist for area-specific collectibles and optional discoveries rather than assuming the story route automatically covers them. The achievement page confirms the categories, but does not give routes or locations for each item.

Build around unlocks and upgrades
Achievements explicitly call for unlocking named Shells, weapons, and sidearms, reaching a Shell’s maximum bonding tier at the Shellkeeper, and maxing out a weapon at the Tarforge. The public list does not state the costs, prerequisites, or best upgrade order. Check in-game requirements as they appear, and avoid spending scarce resources on the assumption that a particular route is mandatory.
Separate first-time actions from full collections
Haunting Times asks for a first Shell Memory, while Seeking the Past asks for all Shell Memories. Similarly, the list distinguishes individual unlocks from collection achievements such as all Shells, all Weapons, and all Sidearms. A first discovery should not be treated as proof that a category is complete.

What to do during cleanup
After the main story, compare your platform’s live achievement page with the checklist and focus on unfinished categories: all Shells, Weapons, Sidearms, Ova, Map Fragments, Tarstones, Beacons, and Shell Memories, plus the maximum bonding and weapon-upgrade objectives. Also check whether you have played every Lute Track. This is a category-based cleanup plan, not a verified route order; the official Steam list does not disclose the locations or recovery rules for every objective.
Community guides offer route suggestions and estimates, but their missable claims and New Game Plus advice are not consistent enough to promise a particular number of playthroughs or completion time. Use a current guide for a specific route only when it matches your platform and game build, and verify consequential steps against in-game prompts.

Does the Steam checklist apply to PlayStation and Xbox?
Not as a confirmed one-to-one list. Steam’s 53 entries establish the PC achievement count only. The cited PlayStation and Xbox storefront pages establish platform availability, not complete trophy lists or identical wording. For a console platinum or 100% target, consult the current trophy or achievement list displayed for that console account before relying on Steam’s 53-item checklist.
