The FAQ adds that dedicated GPUs with lower specifications and some integrated GPUs may suffice, but performance will be limited. That caveat does not identify which lower-tier GPUs work well or define what “limited” means.
The FAQ does not specify a storage requirement, target resolution, target frame rate, or benchmark tied to these components. Treat the list as the developer’s current guidance, not a guarantee that a PC meeting it will achieve a particular experience.

Is the game supported on Windows, Mac, and Linux?
Windows is the primary supported platform for the game client. The official launcher instructions describe Mac and Linux as compatibility-layer workflows, not native game-client support. For Linux, the page recommends the native launcher build with umu-launcher to run the client through Proton, and lists webkit2gtk-4.1 as a launcher dependency. Check the current launcher instructions for the applicable setup details.
How should you compare your PC with the recommendations?
- Check the graphics card and VRAM. Compare your GPU with the GTX 1060 6 GB reference or an equivalent. The FAQ does not certify specific alternatives.
- Check installed system memory. The listed recommendation is 16 GB of RAM.
- Assess the processor cautiously. The developer calls for a “relatively modern” CPU but gives no model or generation cutoff, so there is no official CPU-by-CPU pass/fail list.
- Confirm your platform route. Windows is the primary client platform; Mac and Linux rely on compatibility-layer workflows in the launcher guidance.
The GTX 1060 is an older reference product, not a recommendation to buy one. Meeting the published component guidance also does not establish performance at your preferred resolution. If you are evaluating a new PC or an upgrade, compare current independent results for your intended resolution, along with price, warranty, power requirements, and connectors; the game’s official sources do not validate particular current systems or replacement GPUs.

Where are the graphics settings?
According to the official beta patch notes, the former Options and related panels were replaced with a unified Settings menu. It contains Audio, Interface, Graphics, Key binds, and Chat Settings. The notes do not give a recommended graphics preset or an FPS-tuning recipe.
As a practical way to troubleshoot, change one graphics option at a time and compare before and after in the same location and view. This is a general comparison method, not a developer-published test protocol; different scenes may perform differently.

What performance can you expect?
The official requirements and reviewed patch notes publish no FPS target or comparative benchmark. One official-forum post dated August 11, 2026 describes a player’s experience on a Ryzen 7 5700X, Intel Arc B580 with 12 GB VRAM, and 16 GB RAM: reported drops to 20–30 FPS looking toward Night Harbor from one location, around 40 FPS in a dungeon, and better performance from another view. The player also said changing options made no difference on that machine.
This is one uncontrolled report, not a representative test. It cannot predict performance on other PCs or establish a general cause for the drops. The official beta patch 3 notes document improvements to character loading and zoning and fixes for server memory leaks, but those changes do not establish a particular client-side FPS improvement.

Why the guidance may change
Monsters & Memories entered Early Access on October 1, 2026. Its Early Access overview and FAQ indicate that tuning and bug fixing continue, so requirements, graphics controls, and performance can change. The FAQ has no stated publication date; its current recommendations were accessed October 4, 2026. Check the official FAQ and patch notes for the latest information before making a hardware decision.
