RuneScape Reignited is a separate remastered RuneScape experience, and its official page does not list PC requirements either. Jagex does publish recommended specifications for the existing RuneScape client, but those figures cannot establish whether a PC will run either future experience.
Are RuneScape 4 and Reignited the same game?
No. Jagex describes RS4 as a new MMORPG built in Unreal Engine, separate from RuneScape, Old School RuneScape, and Dragonwilds. It is set in Gielinor’s Sixth Age and begins in Ashenfall. Reignited, by contrast, is a remastered RuneScape journey that starts again in Lumbridge. Do not treat Reignited as another name for RS4 or assume they share requirements. Jagex’s RS4 announcement and the Reignited page describe them separately.

What are the RuneScape 4 system requirements?
There are no published RS4 PC requirements to compare with your computer. Jagex says the project is in early development and still a few years away; platform and other gameplay details are too early to disclose. The company’s answer to platform questions is that it is “simply not the right time” to say. Until Jagex publishes details, there is no reliable way to confirm whether a particular PC will run RS4.

Jagex’s Reignited page describes the remastered experience and its rollout, but does not provide hardware requirements. It says the next remastered journey parts will arrive later in 2027 and advertises a full-access window without membership from December 2 to December 12. Those dates describe the page’s stated schedule, not PC specifications; check the official page for current rollout information before making plans.

Published requirements for the current RuneScape Windows client
Jagex’s Support page lists these as recommended specifications for the existing Windows RuneScape client. They are not RS4 or Reignited requirements, and they do not promise a particular frame rate or performance level. See Jagex’s current recommended specifications for platform-specific details and any changes.

Jagex also lists separate requirements for macOS 11 and later and for mobile. The Windows figures above should not be applied to those versions. Jagex’s RuneScape download page lists current RuneScape availability for Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam, the App Store, and the Play Store. That list is not an RS4 platform announcement.

How to check your PC against the current RuneScape list
- Check Windows and whether it is 64-bit: Open Settings > System > About. Compare the Windows edition and system type with the requirement for Windows 10 or later, 64-bit.
- Find your processor and installed RAM: In Settings > System > About, review the processor and installed RAM entries. Compare the processor model and speed with Jagex’s listed CPU specification, and check for 8 GB of RAM.
- Identify your graphics card: Open Device Manager > Display adapters to see the GPU model. Compare it with the named graphics options on Jagex’s page; a different model is not automatically equivalent just because its name sounds newer.
- Check available storage: Open File Explorer > This PC and check the free space on the drive used for the game cache. Jagex lists at least 8 GB available for cache.
- Verify graphics API support: Compare the graphics hardware and driver support with Jagex’s OpenGL 4.4 and Vulkan 1.1 requirements. The device name alone does not confirm support for both APIs.
- Use the right game’s official list: These comparisons address only today’s Windows RuneScape client. For RS4 or Reignited, wait for Jagex to publish requirements for that specific experience.
What to do if your PC is below a listed specification
The figures are labeled recommended specifications, not a guaranteed minimum/maximum performance boundary. If one component falls short or its equivalence is unclear, the published list alone cannot establish what performance to expect. Check the latest Jagex support page and the requirements for your specific platform rather than buying hardware on the assumption that it will be needed for RS4 or Reignited.

Revisit Jagex’s RS4 announcement for platform disclosures and any future PC requirements, and consult the official Reignited page for its rollout and requirements if they are added. Requirements and schedules can change; current RuneScape client specifications are not a substitute for either project’s eventual published list.
