What should you verify before using it?

- Check that the template works with your site’s framework and supported browsers.
- Test keyboard operation, screen-reader behavior, focus handling, and a clear way to dismiss the modal.

When does a split-screen modal make sense?
A modal interrupts the underlying task. It is most appropriate when the user needs to focus on a short, distinct task or important information, then return to the original context. Apple’s interface guidance describes sheets as suitable for simple tasks completed before returning to the parent view; for supplementary content that users need to consult while continuing the main task, it recommends a nonmodal presentation instead.

For a review view, consider whether the user only needs to read feedback and inspect an image, or whether they must continue browsing, comparing, or editing the underlying page. In the latter case, a persistent nonmodal panel may fit better. Whichever pattern you choose, provide an obvious exit and avoid stacking modal sheets. Apple’s guidance also calls for clear Cancel, Done, or Back behavior suited to the task: Apple Human Interface Guidelines: Sheets and Apple Human Interface Guidelines: Modality.
