1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo give someone read-only access to a Microsoft Loop page, open that page, select Share, and choose a read-only permission if it is available. Share the page itself—not the workspace. Microsoft says workspace members can edit all pages in the workspace, while page and component sharing can grant access to a specific page with edit or read-only options.
Choose page sharing, not workspace membership
The key distinction is scope. Microsoft’s Loop permissions guidance says page and component sharing grants access to a specific page, with edit or read-only options. Workspace membership is broader: members have editing permissions for all pages in that workspace. So if someone only needs to view one page, do not add them as a workspace member.

| Sharing route | Scope and access | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Share an individual page or component | Access to a specific page; edit or read-only options may be available. | For someone who should only read one page, when your sharing dialog offers read-only access. |
| Add a workspace member | Access to all pages in the workspace, with editing permissions. | For collaborators who need to work across the workspace—not for read-only access. |
| Share a Loop component through Outlook | Microsoft says components shared through this Outlook flow are always editable. | Do not use this route when the recipient must be prevented from editing. |
How to share a Loop page as read-only
- Open the specific page. Make sure you are sharing the page the recipient needs, rather than inviting them to the workspace.
- Select Share. Use the page’s sharing option to open its sharing controls.
- Choose read-only access if offered. Select the view-only or read-only permission shown in your organization’s sharing dialog. Avoid an edit permission.
- Choose an allowed audience or link type. Depending on organizational settings, the dialog may offer a company share link or a people-specific link. Share only with the audience your organization permits.
- Send the invitation or link. If the read-only option is missing or unavailable, do not assume a link will be view-only; check with your Microsoft 365 administrator about the policy and the sharing surface.
What to know about Loop components in Outlook and Teams
Permissions depend on how and where the component is shared. Microsoft’s Outlook support instructions say Loop components shared through that Outlook flow are always editable, even when other file types default to view-only. The article’s permission instructions do not apply to components created through Teams. Do not assume that a read-only control available for a page will also appear for an embedded component in every host app.
Why read-only or external sharing may be unavailable
Loop page sharing is subject to organization-level sharing settings and guest conditions. Your administrator may limit available link audiences, external sharing, or permission choices. Microsoft’s general SharePoint file-sharing guidance also notes that administrators can restrict sharing options, but its controls should not be treated as a guaranteed description of every Loop page or embedded-component dialog.

- Loop is simply affixed to the inside back cover
- Made from sturdy elastic
- Size: 1.575" x 1.575" (40 x 40 mm); 0.59" (15 mm) elastic loop
- Ideal for the Drehgriffel designer pen
- Fits a variety of pen widths with a tight grip for security
- If you cannot find a read-only permission, ask your Microsoft 365 administrator whether it is disabled for your organization or unavailable on that particular Loop surface.
- If the recipient is outside your organization, confirm that external sharing and the required guest access are allowed before sending a link.
- If you are sharing a component through Outlook, use a different approach only if your organization supports a suitable page-sharing route; Outlook’s component-sharing flow does not provide read-only access.
Microsoft’s documented scope
Microsoft Learn’s Overview of Loop components and Loop workspaces permissions, last updated May 14, 2026, states: “Page and Component Sharing: Grants access to a specific page (not the whole workspace) with options for edit or read-only access.” The available options still depend on your organization’s settings and on the Loop surface you are using.

- 1. Feature: The size of the adhesive label is 1.57*1.57 inches. They are thin enough that you do not think it will interfere much when writing in the area. You can stick it on the outside of the back cover to reduce the ‘bump’ it makes when writing. The sticky back pad made of premium PU leather, can stick firmly to any flat surface. Comes in a pack of 3 gray self-adhesive pen holder loops. And you have 3 in the pack if you need to replace it.
- 2. Strong adhesive: It has a sticker-like backing. Once you peel off the paper backing, there is an adhesive patch. The loop firmly holds your pen, thanks to the strong adhesive. Stitching is great, no signs of being easily torn or unravel. The adhesive to stick it to whatever you want is strong enough to stay on permanently. (Removing it will obviously not damage where it’s been stuck to. It will not leave any residue. It will NOT ruin your case if you take it off.)
- 3. Good elasticity: The size of the loop is 0.79*0.62 inches. Every loop is made of super elastic rubber, so you don’t need to worry about your pen dropping from the loop. It is elastic and stretches easily to accommodate most pens of varying sizes while still remaining snug enough to hold the pen firmly in place. There is little to no danger of a pen accidentally slipping out. At the same time, it is not difficult to remove the pen manually from the loop.
- 4. Widely use: The pen planner loop holder fits most pens and pencils. It holds regular pencils and mechanical pencils perfectly and firmly. They don't slide even at angles, upside down and sideways. Suitable for most handwriting notebooks, calendars, journals, planners, diaries, tablet cases and others. Easy to carry it everywhere, solve the trouble that you often look for pens.
- 5. Usage: When applying the pad to the journal, you don't want the loop extended too far away from the journal or a tad inside it. Before removing the pad's protective cover, place it where you want it and outline its base with a pencil, then open the journal and adhere to the pad in the right place.
