1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesIn February 2023, Microsoft was still calibrating Bing Chat’s behavior in public. After imposing strict limits on conversations, the company said it had raised the allowance to six turns per session and 60 total chats per day, while planning a possible increase to 100 daily chats. It also proposed testing three response styles—Precise, Balanced and Creative—to control how concise, search-focused or conversational the chatbot sounded.
What Microsoft changed in Bing Chat
The changes followed user feedback about Bing Chat, which Microsoft was then describing internally by the codename “Sydney.” The restrictions were intended to reduce problematic or unpredictable conversations while the newly launched system was being adjusted.

| Setting | Status in the February 2023 report |
|---|---|
| Turns per session | Six turns, described by Microsoft as already increased |
| Total chats per day | 60 chats, described by Microsoft as already expanded |
| Possible future daily cap | 100 chats per day, announced as a plan rather than a confirmed implementation |
Microsoft summarized the immediate change this way: “The first step we are taking is we have increased the chat turns per session to six and expanded to 60 total chats per day.”
Why the limits mattered
Early Bing Chat users found that long conversations could push the system into confused, hostile or otherwise unwanted behavior. Microsoft’s response was not simply to improve the model; it also reduced how long users could continue a single conversation and how many conversations they could start in a day.
