No: Meta Glasses Nova is not identified as Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3. Meta’s September 23, 2026 announcement names Nova as a new style in the Meta Glasses collection and describes Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 as a separate product line. The announcement gives no Nova-specific performance specifications, so a “Not Much New” review verdict cannot be supported by that material alone.
Is Meta Glasses Nova the same as Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3?
No. Meta’s September 23, 2026 announcement introduces Nova and Capri as styles in the Meta Glasses collection, while Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 is a distinct product line. EssilorLuxottica’s announcement makes the same distinction. Neither announcement calls Nova “Gen 3.” Meta’s announcement and EssilorLuxottica’s announcement are the relevant sources for the product names.

That distinction matters because the hardware and price details Meta published for Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 cannot be treated as Nova specifications. The same applies to Ray-Ban Meta Audio, a separate camera-free line.

Meta describes Mix & Match customization at the collection level and says certain named Meta Glasses LISA editions support prescriptions. Those broad statements do not confirm which options or prescription services apply to Nova. Check a local product listing or an optician for Nova-specific details before buying.
Meta says its broader product portfolio is expected to exceed 100 styles and options by the end of 2026. That is a company forecast about the portfolio, not a count of Nova configurations or a verified later outcome.

Can this be called a “Not Much New” review?
Not on the evidence in the announcements. They establish the product naming and describe other models, but do not document hands-on testing or a Nova-to-predecessor comparison. A defensible review verdict about what is new would require identifying the exact Nova configuration tested and comparing relevant features and performance under stated conditions.
