The Linkoze Hub IRF manual documents infrared plus 315 MHz and 433 MHz radio-frequency control; a separate Hub IR Pro manual describes infrared learning and adjustable light color, but does not list RF support. Orbit Smart separately describes RGB schedules and multi-device scenes. Check the exact model and the signals your appliances use before choosing a hub.
Which MeshHub model has which features?
| Model or service | Documented features | What the source does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Linkoze Hub IRF | 38 kHz infrared and 315 MHz/433 MHz RF; app control, timers, schedules and cloud-based scenes. Specifications include 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, USB Type-C and 5 V/1 A input. Official Hub IRF manual. | Adjustable mood lighting, universal remote compatibility, RF protocol details and RF range are not stated in the manual. |
| Hub IR Pro | Infrared learning, timers, adjustable color of the hub’s own light and cloud-based scenes. It lists 38 kHz infrared, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, USB Type-C and 5 V/1 A input. Official Hub IR Pro manual. | The manual does not list 315 MHz or 433 MHz RF support. |
| Orbit Smart app | The vendor describes RGB light schedules, multi-device scenes and motion-sensor automations. Orbit Smart page. | The page does not enumerate supported third-party products, brands or protocols. |

What can the Linkoze Hub IRF control?
The Hub IRF is intended to relay signals from conventional infrared and RF remotes so compatible appliances can be controlled through an app. Its listed signal specifications are 38 kHz IR and 315 MHz/433 MHz RF, with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for network connectivity. The manual also describes timers and schedules for electrical appliances and cloud-based smart scenes.

Frequency alone does not guarantee compatibility: the manual does not specify supported RF modulation or protocols, nor does it promise operation with every remote using those bands. Confirm that the appliance’s remote signal is supported rather than assuming that any 315 MHz or 433 MHz device will work.

Infrared range and placement
The manual states a 180-degree hemispherical infrared direction and a control distance of less than 8 m (26 ft). It cautions that IR signal strength can weaken beyond 8 m and commands may fail. Infrared requires a usable path to the appliance; the manual does not establish that the hub can control devices through obstructions. It gives no RF range figure.
What Hub IR Pro adds—and what it does not
Hub IR Pro’s manual describes learning infrared signals and adjusting the hub’s own light color for atmosphere. It is an infrared-focused alternative in the reviewed materials: its listed specifications include 38 kHz IR, but not the Hub IRF’s 315 MHz and 433 MHz RF bands. Do not treat its color-adjustable light as evidence of RF capability, or attribute that lighting feature to Hub IRF.

How app setup and scenes work
Both manuals describe setup through Smart Life and adding the device from an existing hub’s device-search page. They also describe app-based automation and cloud-scene participation, so the app, network and cloud-service dependencies matter if you expect remote access or linked automations.
Pair the Linkoze Hub IRF
- Install the Smart Life app and connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network you intend to use.
- Hold the Hub IRF reset button for 10 seconds, until its blue LED flashes.
- In the existing hub’s device search page, add the device and follow the app’s pairing flow.
The manual says that if the Wi-Fi password changes, the device must be reset and connected again. It describes scene triggers and target actions, with a contact sensor and other Linkoze devices as an example.

Orbit Smart’s page shows RGB scheduling—for example, red from 4 am to 7 am and green afterward—and illustrates a single scene activating devices such as an air conditioner, TV and room lighting. It also describes incorporating motion sensors into automation. These are vendor examples, not independent compatibility tests. The page’s broad brand-integration claim does not name the brands or protocols, so it cannot establish compatibility with a particular appliance.

How to choose between the feature sets
- Choose the Hub IRF only if your existing remote uses compatible IR or 315/433 MHz RF signals, and verify RF protocol compatibility with the manufacturer for the specific appliance.
- Consider Hub IR Pro when infrared learning and an adjustable color on the hub itself are the relevant features; do not rely on it for RF control based on the reviewed manual.
- Check whether your setup requires the Smart Life app, an existing hub, cloud scenes or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
- For either model, assess IR placement and distance, and distinguish the hub’s own light from separate RGB lighting controlled through an app or scene.
The published specifications are manufacturer-stated, not independent performance tests. The reviewed materials provide no independent reliability or compatibility measurements.
