Memtest86+ V7.00 added live DRAM-settings reporting through Integrated Memory Controller (IMC) polling on Intel Core 1st–14th Generation and AMD Ryzen CPUs. Its ECC polling support is a separate, preliminary feature limited to selected Ryzen CPUs. This is Memtest86+, not PassMark’s separate MemTest86 utility.
What changed in Memtest86+ V7.00?
The Memtest86+ project’s archive dates V7.00 to January 7, 2024, and its changelog lists IMC polling for live RAM settings. The release announcement says the feature retrieves live settings on Intel Core 1st through 14th Generation and AMD Ryzen CPUs. Memtest86+ archive · V7.00 release notes

In practical terms, IMC polling reads settings from the processor’s Integrated Memory Controller while Memtest86+ is running. The release describes this as live DRAM-settings reporting; it does not claim a benchmark, a memory-speed increase, or that every motherboard and chipset will expose every setting.

- Get Memtest86+ from the official project archive. The archive offers a Windows USB installer.
- Use the installer to prepare boot media on a USB flash drive if that is the boot method you choose. The project does not state a minimum drive capacity, speed, or recommended brand.
- Boot the computer from the prepared media and run Memtest86+. Consult the program’s displayed information for the live DRAM settings available on that system.
The release announcement establishes the CPU families targeted by IMC polling, but it does not provide a complete motherboard or chipset compatibility list. A supported CPU family therefore does not guarantee that every system will report every setting.

What about ECC polling?
V7.00 also introduced preliminary ECC polling for selected AMD Ryzen CPUs. The release notes do not name all supported Ryzen models or describe this as universal ECC coverage. Treat it as limited support, not confirmation that ECC polling will work on every Ryzen system or memory configuration. Memtest86+ V7.00 release notes
Memtest86+ versus PassMark MemTest86
The similar names refer to two distinct projects. PassMark’s history explains that Memtest86+ became a separate fork and that both projects continued development. Make sure you download and follow documentation for the project you intend to use. PassMark project history

PassMark says its own MemTest86 settings retrieval is limited to supported chipsets and that SMBIOS fallback values can be inaccurate. Those statements apply to PassMark’s product; they should not be treated as Memtest86+ compatibility limits or as a description of how V7.00 reports settings.
