Its published specifications describe what a phone maker can build around it—not a guaranteed benchmark score, camera, or gaming experience. No single benchmark number can represent every Helio G35 phone; results depend on the handset, software, test version, and operating conditions.
MediaTek Helio G35 specifications
MediaTek’s product page and its 2020 product brief list the following platform specifications. Maximum supported values are capabilities, not promises that every phone will implement them.

| Component | Helio G35 capability | What it means for a phone |
|---|---|---|
| Process | 12 nm FinFET | The chip is manufactured using a 12 nm process; this alone does not establish a phone’s battery life or heat under load. |
| CPU | Eight 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 cores, up to 2.3 GHz | The maximum clock is a platform specification, not a guarantee that every core runs at that speed continuously. |
| GPU | IMG PowerVR GE8320, up to 680 MHz | Graphics capability depends on the phone’s implementation, cooling, software, and the game being run. |
| Memory | LPDDR4x up to 6 GB or LPDDR3 up to 4 GB; the product brief also lists DDR4 up to 6 GB | These are configuration options. The phone maker chooses the memory type and capacity in a particular device. |
| Storage | eMMC 5.1 | The listed storage interface is eMMC 5.1; the chipset specification does not state a handset’s storage capacity. |
| Display | Up to 2400 × 1080 pixels; the product brief specifies Full HD+ at 20:9 | A phone can use a lower-resolution panel. Resolution and refresh rate are handset choices, and no maximum refresh rate is stated in the cited brief. |
| Camera platform | Up to 25 MP at 30 fps and multi-camera configurations | This describes image-signal-processor capability, not the camera sensor or configuration installed in a phone. |
| Video | Up to 1080p at 30 fps playback and H.264 encoding; the product brief lists H.264 and HEVC decoding | These are platform video capabilities, not a promise about every phone’s recording features. |
| Connectivity | 4G LTE, dual-4G SIM/VoLTE capability, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 5.0, GNSS options, and FM radio | The cited specifications describe 4G, not 5G. Specific features, supported bands, and availability vary by handset and market. |

What Helio G35 benchmark scores can—and cannot—tell you
A benchmark score belongs to a test run on a specific phone using a specific benchmark version. It is not a fixed score attached to every Helio G35 chip. Memory configuration, firmware, cooling, temperature, and the benchmark version can all affect the result.
#1 Best Overall
- YOUR CONTENT, SUPER SMOOTH: The ultra-clear 6.7" FHD+ Super AMOLED display of Galaxy A17 5G helps bring your content to life, whether you're scrolling through recipes or video chatting with loved ones.¹
- LIVE FAST. CHARGE FASTER: Focus more on the moment and less on your battery percentage with Galaxy A17 5G. Super Fast Charging powers up your battery so you can get back to life sooner.²

NanoReview’s Helio G35 benchmark page includes an AnTuTu 11 user result dated 2025-10-20. That is a dated result associated with a benchmark version, not a controlled, universal score for all G35 phones. Notebookcheck’s benchmark and device-review aggregation likewise reflects tested G35-based devices rather than one guaranteed chip-wide outcome. The available results do not establish a controlled, current cross-device test from which to derive a universal number.
When evaluating a particular phone, check the original result for the exact handset and benchmark version. Compare results only when the test version and device conditions are reasonably alike; a score from a different version or a different phone is not a clean performance comparison.

Is the Helio G35 good for gaming?
The available specifications identify an eight-core Cortex-A53 CPU and PowerVR GE8320 GPU, but they do not establish game-specific frame rates or sustained performance. MediaTek describes HyperEngine resource management and gaming-oriented connectivity features on its product page; those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent measurements of how a given game runs.

For a real gaming decision, look for testing of the exact phone and the games you care about. A device’s cooling, firmware, memory, display resolution, battery, and other implementation choices influence the experience. The chip’s maximum supported capabilities alone cannot tell you whether a particular phone will maintain smooth gameplay.

How to compare Helio G35 phones or alternatives
Start with the complete handset rather than the chipset name. For a meaningful comparison, check:
- Benchmark version, tested phone model, and software conditions for each result.
- Performance over time and thermal behavior, not just a short test score.
- Memory type and capacity, plus storage implementation and capacity.
- Display resolution and refresh rate.
- Installed camera hardware, battery, and supported network bands.
These details matter because two phones using the same platform can differ in configuration and in the features they actually provide. A specification such as maximum display resolution or camera support describes what the platform can accommodate; the handset’s own specifications determine what you get.
