The MediaTek Dimensity 7400X is a capable midrange phone platform, not a flagship performance chip. Its standout feature is support for the dual-screen design of flip phones such as the Motorola razr 60 (also sold as the Razr 2025 in some markets). Published Razr tests put performance around 1,000 in Geekbench 6 single-core and 3,000 multi-core, but those are handset results—not a guaranteed score for every 7400X phone.
What the Dimensity 7400X is designed for
The 7400X is an octa-core, 4nm-class mobile platform with four Arm CPU cores clocked up to 2.6GHz. MediaTek identifies dual-display flip phones as a specific use case: the “X” denotes technology for dual-screen displays, with the Razr 60 as its example. That makes the chip’s positioning relevant to the outer-screen experience as well as ordinary phone tasks.
The Motorola razr 60 has a 6.9-inch main pOLED display and a 3.6-inch outer pOLED display. The processor supports dual displays, but the phone’s actual screen sizes, refresh rates and features are determined by Motorola’s implementation. MediaTek describes the X designation and its dual-screen purpose.

| Displays supported by the platform | MediaTek lists dual displays, WFHD+ resolution up to 120Hz and 10-bit color. The Razr 60’s external display is listed up to 90Hz. |
| Camera and imaging support | Up to 200MP main camera, 12-bit HDR-ISP, Google Ultra HDR, hardware face detection and multi-frame noise reduction. These are platform capabilities, not a promise that every phone includes a 200MP camera. |
| Wireless connectivity | MediaTek lists up to 3.27Gbps 5G downlink with advanced 3CC carrier aggregation, dual 5G SIM with dual VoNR, tri-band 2×2 Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. Actual support depends on the handset, carrier and network. |
Motorola’s regional razr 60 specification page lists Android 15, the Dimensity 7400X, 4nm octa-core CPU, Mali-G615 MC2, NPU 655, and the memory and storage configuration above. Regional models and names can differ, so check the specification page for the exact market version.

Dimensity 7400X benchmarks: what the Razr results show
There is no single benchmark score that applies to every 7400X phone. The available results below come from Motorola’s Razr 60/Razr 2025 family, and measure complete phones. Cooling, software, memory and device configuration can affect results alongside the processor.
| Phone and test | Published result | Source and context |
|---|---|---|
| Motorola razr 60, Geekbench 6.7.1 | 1,078 single-core; 2,899 multi-core | One Geekbench Browser submission uploaded July 4, 2026, running Android 16. It is an individual handset run, not a controlled average. |
| Motorola Razr 2025, Geekbench 6 | 1,089 single-core; 3,075 multi-core | Tom’s Guide review result for the handset. |
| Motorola Razr 2025, 3DMark Wild Life Unlimited | 22.2 FPS | Tom’s Guide review result; a graphics test on the handset. |
| Motorola Razr 2025, Adobe Premiere Rush transcoding | 1 minute 21 seconds | Tom’s Guide review result; a longer time means slower completion. |
The Geekbench submission’s system page identifies a MediaTek MT6878 with eight cores and clusters at 2.0GHz and 2.6GHz. One submission is useful as a concrete data point, but it cannot establish typical results or sustained performance across phones.
How it compares with the previous Razr and faster chips
Tom’s Guide’s comparison table reports the 2024 Razr with Dimensity 7300X at 1,055/2,999 in Geekbench 6 single-/multi-core, 19 FPS in 3DMark Wild Life Unlimited and 54 seconds in its Premiere Rush test. Against those results, the 2025 Razr’s CPU improvement was modest, graphics performance was higher, and transcoding took 27 seconds longer.

In the same Tom’s Guide tests, the Razr Ultra 2025 with Snapdragon 8 Elite scored 2,719/8,342 in Geekbench 6 and 145.3 FPS in 3DMark; the Galaxy Z Flip 7 with Exynos 2500 scored 2,286/8,079 and 114.6 FPS. These are comparisons between complete phones, not controlled chip-only tests, so they show the performance tier of those devices rather than a precise SoC-to-SoC margin.
For any comparison, match the benchmark version and workload first: CPU scores do not answer how a phone handles graphics, AI tasks or prolonged gaming. Also account for each handset’s configuration and thermal behavior. A phone’s battery life cannot be attributed to its processor alone.

What performance feels like in everyday use
Tom’s Guide found app switching and assistant use adequate on the Razr 2025. In games, it reported stutters while loading scenes in PUBG Mobile, while a lighter side-scrolling game played smoothly. Those observations suggest a phone suited to ordinary use and lighter gaming rather than demanding gaming as a priority. They describe that review device; another 7400X phone may behave differently.
Is the Dimensity 7400X any good?
Yes, for a midrange phone—especially a dual-screen flip phone where the foldable design and outer display are central. The Razr results indicate solid everyday performance, but the 7400X is not in the same benchmark class as the high-end chips tested in the Razr Ultra 2025 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. If sustained gaming or top-tier speed is your priority, look for reviews of the exact handset and its performance under your intended workload.
