PC lets you tailor the presentation
PlayStation lists adjustable graphics quality, unlocked frame rates, ray-traced reflections, ultrawide and multi-monitor display support, and support for mouse and keyboard. It also lists DLSS, DLAA, and AMD FSR 2.0. These are choices, not guaranteed performance improvements: results depend on the PC, settings, and compatible display or hardware.
Mouse and keyboard are supported with customizable controls, so a dedicated controller is not a requirement. PlayStation’s PC announcement also notes Steam Input support and remapping options.

PS5 has platform-specific upgrades
Insomniac documents improved environment and character detail, ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows, near-instant loading, photo-mode additions, and three new suits for the PS5 remaster. Its Performance Mode targets 60 fps; that is the developer’s stated target, not a guarantee that every scene will maintain exactly that rate.

Assistance options can make play more flexible
Insomniac lists options including QTE auto-complete, button-tap-to-hold, chase assist, enhanced auto aim, an increased dodge window, puzzle skipping, vibration settings, and audio adjustments. The available controls are not identical across Remastered and Miles Morales, so consult the support page for the exact game and version if a particular feature is important: Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered accessibility options.
What may put you off
High-end PC targets have demanding requirements
PlayStation publishes several average performance targets for PC. They are publisher specifications, not independent benchmark results, and they cannot predict the frame rate on every machine. The table reproduces the published tiers so you can compare them with your own hardware.

These targets and the PC feature list are published by PlayStation. The same page specifies Windows 10 64-bit and 75 GB of storage; Steam lists Windows 10 64-bit, DirectX 12, and 75 GB as well. If your PC is below the tier for your preferred resolution and settings, expect to make compromises rather than assuming a particular frame rate.

The remaster changes Peter Parker’s face model: Insomniac says Ben Jordan replaced John Bubniak on PS5 to better match Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture. This is a subjective presentation change, but it is the clearest version difference for players attached to the original model. Insomniac explains it in its comparison of Remastered with the original game.

PC DualSense features require a cable
A DualSense controller is optional on PC. However, PlayStation says PC haptics and adaptive triggers require a wired USB connection; do not assume those features will work wirelessly. Keyboard and mouse remain supported alternatives.

- Choose PC if you want graphics controls, unlocked frame rates, ultrawide or multi-monitor support, or customizable mouse-and-keyboard play—and your hardware matches your intended settings.
- Choose PS5 if you want the console version’s documented visual, loading, audio, and DualSense enhancements and are comfortable with its updated Peter Parker face model.
- Pause before buying for PC if you need a specific high-resolution or ray-tracing target but your graphics card, processor, or memory falls short of the published tier. The specifications are targets, not a machine-specific performance promise.
- Check the exact accessibility feature in Insomniac’s documentation for the version you plan to play; the options differ between Remastered and Miles Morales.
Current prices, promotions, and regional availability change, and the available storefront information does not establish a stable cross-platform price comparison. Check the local Steam or PlayStation Store listing before deciding on value.
Verdict
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is easiest to recommend to players who want an original, story-focused Spider-Man adventure with its three-chapter post-story expansion included. PC is the more configurable option, but its best-looking targets demand substantial hardware; PS5 offers a polished set of platform-specific features, with the changed face model as the main subjective caveat.
