Marvel Rivals’ Competitive ladder runs from Bronze to One Above All. Celestial sits between Grandmaster and Eternity. Players complete ten placement matches before receiving a rank, and the latest official placement rules say individual performance affects the points adjustment. Exact live point thresholds, ordinary match scoring, decay, and Season 10 reset rules are not specified in the official notes cited here, so check the Competitive screen in-game for those details.
What are the Marvel Rivals ranks, in order?
The ladder’s ascending order is:
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Diamond
- Grandmaster
- Celestial
- Eternity
- One Above All
Celestial was added above Grandmaster and below Eternity in the January 2025 update. The complete order is corroborated by a secondary ladder reference, but the official notes reviewed do not provide a current comprehensive table of every subdivision or promotion threshold. Treat subdivisions as the standard ladder description and use the labels and point requirements shown in your current game client. Marvel Rivals’ January 2025 update notes and a secondary rank reference support the order.

How does Marvel Rivals ranked work?
Competitive progression has several distinct stages: placements establish an assigned rank, subsequent match results move you through the ladder, and seasonal rules can change how a rank carries forward or earns rewards. Do not treat a placement prediction as your final rank, or assume an old season’s scoring and reset rules still apply.
Placement matches establish your rank
The latest detailed official placement update located, for Season 7, says players complete ten placement matches. Each match tracks individual performance; after the tenth, the game adjusts the player’s Competitive points by between -100 and +100 based on personal results and tier. That range describes the placement adjustment, not a standard points gain or loss for every ordinary match. The notes do not specify a general per-match scoring formula. See the official Season 7 update notes.

A predicted rank is not the final rank
Season 5’s official rules explained that a predicted rank could be used for matchmaking while placements were underway; the assigned rank came after all ten matches. Those notes also said prior results influenced returning players’ estimated starting rank and described Silver III as the estimated start for players who had never completed ten ranked matches in a season. These are historical Season 5 details, not guaranteed current rules. The notes state: “From Season 5 onward, your first 10 ranked matches are Placement Matches.” Check the current Competitive screen for the policy that applies now. Official Season 5 patch notes.
Ordinary match points and thresholds
The available current-season official notes do not establish the exact points required for each division, how many points ordinary wins or losses award, or whether and when rank decay applies. Consult the in-game Competitive information rather than relying on old third-party figures: values and rules can change between seasons.

What changes at the start of a new season?
Rank resets have varied. For example, the January 2025 notes described a seven-division demotion from Season 0 to Season 1; April 2025 notes later described a nine-division reset for the Season 1.5-to-Season 2 transition. These are historical examples, not the Season 10 reset formula. Later releases also documented different placement approaches, so an older reset number should not be projected onto a current season. January 2025 notes and the Season 5 notes illustrate how policies changed.

Check the current Competitive screen and season notices to see whether you must replay placements or how your previous rank carries over.

What are the Season 10 rank rewards?
As of October 7, 2026, Season 10.0 was active; the official update index listed Season 10.5 as arriving October 9. The Season 10 Gold-tier costume reward is Gorr the God Butcher — Gods’ Graveyard. The official Season 10 notes confirm the reward but do not restate all eligibility conditions. Season 10 update notes and the official update index establish the season timing and reward.
Season 5 rules historically required ten ranked matches during a half-season and finishing at Gold or above for its half-season Gold costume; season-end rewards required completed placements and the relevant ending rank. Those terms should not be assumed to govern Season 10. Open the in-game reward panel for current eligibility requirements. Season 5 patch notes.

Are there rank-based party restrictions?
Party-size and queue restrictions are season-sensitive. Season 5’s official rules prohibited five-player stacks from Bronze through Grandmaster and limited Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All to solo or duo queues. That describes the rules at that time, not necessarily Season 10. Check the current Competitive queue screen for restrictions before assembling a party. Season 5 patch notes.
