Is the Marshall Major V a good deal at $89.99? Android Authority reported on October 2, 2026, that Amazon was selling the wireless on-ear headphones for $89.99—$40 below Marshall’s stated $129.99 recommended retail price and $2 above the all-time low cited in that report. That price is time-sensitive, so check the live Amazon listing, seller, color and stock before buying; this article does not establish that the offer is still active.
What the reported deal includes
The deal report covers the Marshall Major V wireless headphones. Android Authority’s October 2, 2026 article lists an Amazon price of $89.99, compared with a stated $129.99 recommended retail price. It describes the discount as $40 and says the price was $2 above the model’s reported all-time low. Those figures come from that dated report, not an independently audited price-history database.
Because Amazon pricing can change by seller, color and inventory, confirm the final price and shipping details on the product page before checkout. If the listing no longer shows $89.99, the deal calculation no longer applies.
What you get for the money
Long battery life, with an important qualification
Marshall claims more than 100 hours of wireless playtime for the Major V. The company also says a 15-minute charge provides 15 hours of playback and that a full recharge takes three hours. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results, so actual endurance will vary with volume, codec, phone and usage.
#1 Best Overall
- MARSHALL SIGNATURE SOUND: Experience powerful bass, smooth mids and crisp treble that are expertly balanced.
- 100+ HOURS OF WIRELESS PLAYTIME: Listen to your favourite music for days without needing to charge.
- RUGGED AND FOLDABLE DESIGN: Major V is built to last and to be easily packed away with you wherever you go.
- CUSTOMIZABLE M-BUTTON: Instantly access Spotify Tap or your EQ settings or voice assistant at the press of a finger.
- WIRELESS CHARGING: Experience quick charging without the hassle of wires.
Wireless, wired and wireless charging options
The headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 and include a USB-C charging cable. Marshall also includes a 3.5 mm audio cable, giving you a wired fallback for compatible phones, laptops and other devices. Wireless charging is supported, although no charging pad is listed as included.
Portable on-ear construction
The Major V folds for transport and weighs 186 g according to Marshall. Its on-ear fit can be more compact than many over-ear models, but it also places the ear cushions directly on the ears; comfort and passive isolation will depend on ear shape, clamp and listening time.

The biggest trade-off: no active noise cancellation
Marshall explicitly lists the Major V without active noise cancellation (ANC). That matters on airplanes, trains, busy offices and streets, where ANC can reduce low-frequency background noise. The headphones may still block some sound through their fit, but they are not an ANC alternative.
Marshall also says the model has no water resistance. Treat it as a daily indoor and commuting headphone rather than a product designed for rain, workouts or deliberate exposure to moisture.

Controls and app features
The Major V’s M-button can be customized in the Marshall Bluetooth app. Marshall describes options including Spotify Tap, equalizer settings and a voice assistant. Android Authority also reported Bluetooth multipoint and Google Fast Pair; those details should be confirmed against the current product documentation if either feature is essential to your setup.

The Bottom Line
At the reported $89.99, the Marshall Major V is compelling for buyers who value a foldable on-ear design, wired backup, wireless charging and exceptionally long claimed battery life. It is not the right choice if ANC or water resistance is a requirement, and the deal price must be verified on Amazon because the supporting report is dated October 2, 2026.
