1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe practical difference is how you keep editing after the initial build: manual mode gives you visual, drag-and-drop controls, while agentic mode takes conversational prompts and generates or changes code. Choose the visual workflow for a content-led site where layout control matters; consider the prompt-and-code workflow for an interactive app or custom functionality, provided you can review and troubleshoot the result.
How the two editing workflows differ
| Decision | Manual mode | Agentic mode |
|---|---|---|
| How you edit | Direct visual editing with drag-and-drop controls and panels for elements, pages, styles, and integrations. | Describe changes in chat prompts; use a code editor to work with generated code and files. |
| Best fit in the product guidance | Content-oriented websites such as portfolios, blogs, company sites, landing pages, and conventional online stores. | Interactive projects such as dashboards, portals, trackers, quizzes, management tools, and browser games; it can also be used to create full websites. |
| Technical control | A managed visual workflow that does not require editing code. | Generated code and integrated backend functionality offer more flexibility, but may need technical review. |
| Hosting and plan dependency | Included with most Web and Cloud hosting plans, according to the product comparison. | Requires a separate credit-based subscription; an active hosting plan is also required to publish. |
| Changing modes | A manual site can be recreated in agentic mode in supported cases; the original remains unchanged and the recreation counts as another website. | The comparison says switching back to manual mode is unsupported. |

Which mode fits your project?
Choose manual mode for visual, content-led sites
Manual mode is the more direct choice when the main work is arranging pages, refining a layout, and updating text or images. Its visual controls suit conventional sites where you want to see the page and make changes directly rather than describe each change in a prompt.

It is a managed workflow, not a route to server-level control: the comparison says manual mode does not provide access to tools such as a file manager, FTP, SSH, or databases.

Choose agentic mode for custom interactive behavior
Agentic mode is designed for requests that involve behavior as well as presentation—for example, a tracker, dashboard, portal, or quiz. You describe what you want, and the system generates or edits code, files, and backend functionality. That makes it a better fit when a project needs custom interactions, but it also means there may be generated logic to inspect and maintain.
“Agentic” does not mean that a prompt guarantees a finished, error-free application. Hostinger says the output can vary because it uses a probabilistic AI model. Review the result and verify important functionality before publishing. Its agentic-mode overview describes the available capabilities.

What to expect when creating and maintaining a site
Both workflows can start with an AI-generated site and then be customized. The choice is principally about the ongoing editing process: direct visual controls in manual mode, or prompt-driven code generation and a code editor in agentic mode. Use the latter only if you are prepared to check whether the generated behavior works as intended and to seek technical help when debugging requires skills you do not have.
For setup steps, see Hostinger’s AI Builder guide.

Check subscriptions and publishing requirements
The comparison describes manual mode as included with most Web and Cloud hosting plans. Agentic mode has a separate credit-based subscription, and publishing requires an active hosting plan. Ecommerce is a separate subscription in either mode. Prices, eligibility, and renewal terms can vary, so confirm the current terms for your region and plan at checkout rather than assuming one price applies to every setup.

The documented path runs from a manual site to a newly recreated agentic site; it is not a conversion that overwrites the original. The original manual site remains unchanged, and the recreated site counts as an additional website on the plan. The guide excludes manual sites using Ecommerce, the Instagram element, or search. Existing Hostinger Reach forms convert to native forms and stay connected to the same Reach profile, according to the switching instructions.
Rank #4
The comparison says the reverse switch—from agentic mode back to manual mode—is not supported. If you may need that workflow later, treat the choice as a meaningful migration decision and check the current support documentation before starting; product rules can change.
