Choose whether the footer belongs on one page or across the site
When you add a footer, choose between the current page and all pages. A shared footer is pinned to the bottom of the website, and edits made to it on one page are reflected on the others. You can hide that shared footer on selected pages.

A footer added only to the current page appears below the selected section and may need to be moved to the bottom manually. Choose this scope when the footer should be unique to that page. The official instructions describe both options but do not prescribe a universally best layout or template.

- In the editor, move the cursor between two sections and select Add section.
- Choose Footer from the section menu.
- Select a footer template.
- Choose whether to add it to the current page or all pages.
If you choose the current page, check its position and move it to the bottom if needed. For more on adding and customizing sections, see the manual-mode section instructions.

Edit the footer and its elements
Click the footer section to open its settings, then click an individual element to edit it. Elements can also be added to or removed from the footer. If the footer is shared across pages, changes made on one page appear on the other pages as well.
Hide a shared footer on one page
- Select the footer.
- Click Hide.
- Select Hide on this page.
Add footer links and make them live
You can configure a link on footer text, a button, an image, or a social icon. Supported destinations described in the official instructions include internal or external pages, email addresses, phone numbers, and files. After adding or changing links, update the website so the changes appear online. The footer-link instructions cover the linking workflow.

Common footer content can include a copyright notice, contact information, social icons, a map, or links to policies and help pages. These are examples, not required elements; include only what visitors need.
If you cannot find the option to add a footer
The footer may already be inserted. Select the existing footer to edit it, or delete it and insert a new one using the steps above.
