Natus Vincere’s makazze said the team is avoiding fixation on the Singapore Major qualification race because the stakes could become a distraction. Instead, NAVI is treating each remaining tournament as its focus and trying to show its best Counter-Strike, he told HLTV on October 2, 2026.
Why makazze says NAVI is not focusing on the Major
“If you think about it, you cannot focus on the tournament, because you will have a lot of pressure,” Drin “makazze” Shaqiri told HLTV when asked about NAVI’s qualification situation. He added: “So we are not looking into it, we are just playing for every tournament, trying our best.”

His distinction is between the qualification target and the work immediately in front of the team: concentrating on the Major could raise pressure, while focusing on each event gives NAVI a nearer competitive task. This is makazze’s account of the team’s approach, not a claim that it will ensure qualification.
NAVI’s qualification picture and recent results
In its October 2 interview report, published on ESL Pro League Season 24 media day, HLTV placed NAVI 24th in the Europe VRS and said the team had two tournaments left to earn enough points for Singapore Major qualification. That is the standing and schedule HLTV reported at the time, not a current ranking or a qualification outcome.

The results explain the qualification stakes, but do not establish what NAVI’s eventual standing would be.
How NAVI prepared between events
Makazze said the team had practiced from home for more than ten days. The work included addressing individual mistakes, with over-peeking as one example he named. He also said NAVI planned to keep a seven-map pool.
