Use it to shortlist heroes, then weigh team needs and synergy before summoning or investing.

Why the guide rates some heroes highly
Pocket Gamer does not provide separate rankings for different game modes in this list. Its explanations point instead to practical team roles—tank and control, healing or revival, damage, and lineup synergy. Those are useful ways to think about your roster, but they are descriptive angles from the guide, not an official role taxonomy.
#1 Best Overall
- Incredibly detailed 6” scale figure featuring IRON MAIDEN'S TROOPER EDDIE likeness
- Designed with up to 12 points of articulation for posing and play
- Accessories include sword & spear with Union Jack flag
- Includes art card with numbered certificate of authenticity
- Showcased in Music Maniacs themed window box packaging
S+ picks: tanking, healing, and synergy
- Talumexus: Pocket Gamer highlights tanking with counterattacks, curse, and taunt—tools the guide associates with absorbing pressure and disrupting opponents.
- Anna Annie: The guide describes them as a tanking and healing pair, so their appeal is the combination of durability and sustain.
- Yuzhi Wang: Pocket Gamer characterizes this hero as high-damage and a possible fit for a dark/curse team. That makes the recommendation more relevant if your lineup can support that synergy.
S-tier alternatives
- Brand: The guide describes this Warrior as having control against enemy Priests.
- Milia: Pocket Gamer highlights healing and revival.
- Summer: The guide presents Summer as a tank and bleed alternative with revival.
A- and B-tier situational roles
- Doudou: Pocket Gamer describes a tank with taunt and counterattack.
- Vivian: The guide identifies healing and revival as this hero’s strengths.
- Dracula: The guide calls this a bleed-dependent damage option, which makes the recommendation conditional on building around bleed.
- Max: Pocket Gamer describes area damage and bleed, while cautioning that Max falls off as story progression advances.
- Qiqi Titan: The guide characterizes this hero as a situational tank support.
How to use the list when summoning or building a team
Maiden Academy is an idle RPG centered on summons and hero development. Its Google Play listing describes leveling heroes, raising star ratings, improving skills, equipping gear, and playing dungeons and arena. These systems make hero choices consequential, but the listing does not validate the tier placements.
- Check what your current lineup lacks. Decide whether you need a durable front line, healing or revival, control, or damage before chasing a tier label.
- Look for a role match and synergy. A hero’s listed strengths matter most when they complement the rest of your team; for example, Pocket Gamer’s Yuzhi Wang recommendation specifically mentions dark/curse synergy, while Dracula’s damage is described as bleed-dependent.
- Use higher tiers as a shortlist, not an automatic spending order. S+ and S identify Pocket Gamer’s strongest recommendations in this version-specific guide, but a lower-tier hero may still address a gap in your particular roster.
- Revisit the list after game updates. Confirm that the guide still matches your game version before making a costly or long-term investment.
What this tier list does—and does not—establish
The ranking is Pocket Gamer’s editorial recommendation, not an official Maiden Academy balance chart or an independently tested comparison. It gives one overall list rather than separate mode-by-mode rankings, and the cited character explanations do not provide numerical win rates or performance statistics. The Google Play listing shows the game as an idle RPG with in-app purchases; that store information describes the product, not which heroes are strongest.
