Den normalen Startton deines Mac kannst du in den Toneinstellungen ein- oder ausschalten, wenn dein Mac-Modell und deine macOS-Version die Option unterstützen. Apple zufolge ist die Steuerung ab macOS Big Sur 11 verfügbar. Unter Ventura 13 und neuer findest du den Schalter direkt unter „Ton“; unter Big Sur und Monterey liegt er im Bereich „Toneffekte“.
Mac-Startton in den Toneinstellungen ändern
Für die Änderung brauchst du weder eine zusätzliche App noch ein externes Gerät. Öffne die Systemeinstellungen und passe die Option passend zu deiner macOS-Version an:

- macOS Ventura 13 oder neuer: Apple-Menü () > Systemeinstellungen > Ton. Schalte „Ton beim Start abspielen“ ein oder aus.
- macOS Monterey 12 oder Big Sur 11: Apple-Menü () > Systemeinstellungen > Ton. Öffne den Abschnitt „Toneffekte“ und schalte „Ton beim Start abspielen“ ein oder aus.
Die Einstellung legt fest, ob der Mac den normalen Startton abspielen soll. Apples Anleitung erklärt die Schritte unter „Den Startton eines Mac ein- oder ausschalten“.

Was gilt für ältere macOS-Versionen?
Für macOS-Versionen vor Big Sur 11 nennt Apple keine Systemeinstellung, mit der sich festlegen lässt, ob der Mac beim Start einen Ton spielt. Wenn der Schalter in den Toneinstellungen fehlt, prüfe daher zuerst die installierte macOS-Version. Auch das Mac-Modell kann beeinflussen, ob ein Startton abgespielt wird.

Startglocke oder Diagnose-Signalton?
Ein einzelner normaler Startton ist nicht dasselbe wie wiederholte Signaltöne während eines Startvorgangs mit leerem Bildschirm. Solche Tonfolgen können laut Apple auf Probleme mit dem Arbeitsspeicher oder der Firmware hinweisen. Die Option „Ton beim Start abspielen“ ist für die normale Startglocke gedacht; bei wiederholten Signaltönen solltest du Apples Hinweise zu Mac-Starttönen nutzen, um das konkrete Muster einzuordnen.

Wenn du die Einstellung nicht findest
- Prüfe unter „Über diesen Mac“, welche macOS-Version installiert ist, und nutze den dazu passenden Menüweg.
- Bei einer Version vor Big Sur 11 ist der von Apple dokumentierte Schalter nicht vorhanden.
- Auch bei unterstützter macOS-Version kann die Verfügbarkeit des Starttons vom Mac-Modell abhängen.
