How to get started without a recipe list
Lucid Blocks is a single-player exploration, building and survival sandbox with procedurally generated environments. Its crafting system, Apotheosis, is designed around experimentation: the official site says players can fuse any set of items, rather than follow a fixed recipe list. The beginner guide says successful fusions are recorded in the Journal.

A practical loop is to explore and collect nearby materials, test combinations in Apotheosis, then use what you make to build, travel and handle threats. The game does not have an in-game tutorial, according to the unaffiliated beginner guide, so keep the Journal open as a record of combinations you have discovered.

The following combinations are listed in the unaffiliated Lucid Blocks Wiki’s Beginner’s Guide. They are community guidance, not developer-confirmed recipes; verify results in your current build.

Glider Glove recipe: an unresolved discrepancy
The Beginner’s Guide lists Wool + Stick + Sand Block to make a Feather, then Feather + Wool to make a Glider Glove. The wiki’s achievement guide instead lists Wool + Bone for the Feather. These community sources disagree, and the available evidence does not establish which recipe is correct in every game version. Try the Journal or Apotheosis in your build rather than treating either Feather combination as definitive. The Glider Glove is described as enabling gliding and reducing fall damage.
Choose a first craft by need
The beginner guide suggests Wooden Pick first, followed by Cabinet for storage, Glider Glove for mobility and Azrael for combat. That is a suggested progression, not a tested optimal order. If you are short on carrying or organizing options, prioritize the Cabinet; if reaching new areas is the problem, experiment with movement crafts. The sources provide no controlled performance comparison between tools or weapons.

How to create and enter a qualia
A qualia is a personal buildable world in the wiki’s terminology. The two community guides give the same early route for the Angel α achievement:

- Fuse a Rejuvenation Anchor with a basic block to create a Clonaqualia Block.
- Place the Clonaqualia Block.
- Interact with it to create and enter the qualia.
This is unofficial recipe and achievement guidance; if the fusion does not work, consult the in-game Journal and confirm the current recipe through Apotheosis.

Community-listed achievement routes
The unaffiliated achievement guide lists these routes. Treat them as clues to verify in your build, not guaranteed instructions for every version.
- First fusion / Apotheosis α: fuse any two items; the guide says two Dirt items count.
- Angel α: create a Clonaqualia Block from a Rejuvenation Anchor and basic block, place it, then interact with it to enter a qualia.
- Glider movement: craft and use a Glider Glove. The Feather ingredient has the discrepancy described above.
- Hookshot: craft a Metal Hook and fire it.
- Ball Wand: fuse Magnetite + Stick to make a Key Axe, then fuse Key Axe + Magnetite.
- Farming: obtain a seed from a Fruit Femme, plant and fertilize it, wait for the crop to mature, then harvest it.
- Tiamana exploration: explore deep into a qualia to find a tiamana leyline, then complete its trial.
The achievement guide says the exact conditions for one hidden achievement are unknown; it offers only an uncertain clue involving exploration order. There is not enough established information to turn that clue into a reliable route. Steam listed 22 achievements for the game when its listing was retrieved on October 7, 2026; this count can change.

Restore a qualia from a backup
The official support page says the game creates a backup of a qualia’s original state every time the game is saved. To restore one, use the rewind/clock control on the qualia, select an available backup and restore it. The restored backup is then added to the qualia list. Mods and crash troubleshooting
Mods are optional and carry risk
The official modding instructions describe placing .pck files in the game’s mods/ folder; advanced mods may also require .dll files. Mods are community additions, not built-in cheats. The developer warns that mods may contain viruses, so install only files from creators you trust. See the official modding instructions.

If the game crashes or will not launch
The official help page suggests the following troubleshooting options, not guaranteed fixes:
- Delete the
shader_cacheandvulkanfolders under%APPDATA%/lucid blocks/, and deletedevice/device.tres. - Update the dedicated GPU driver, reset GPU control-panel overrides, or try integrated graphics if available.
- Lower the in-game graphics preset.
- Disable mods by renaming the
modsfolder. - Reinstall the game and verify its Steam files, or try launching the game executable directly.
Because deleting folders or files changes local game data, consider making a separate copy before doing so. The support page has the developer’s full troubleshooting guidance: Lucid Blocks help.
Check compatibility before installing
The official site says a Vulkan-capable graphics device is required and generally advises against manually installing Vulkan; an updated graphics driver may be necessary. Steam’s system-requirements listing, retrieved October 7, 2026, specifies a 64-bit operating system, Intel Core i3-8130U, 8 GB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 620, Vulkan support and 1.5 GB available storage as minimums. These are storefront-listed requirements, not independent performance tests; check the current Steam listing for the latest requirements. Steam lists the game as single-player, with Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. Its listed release date is March 12, 2026.
