For affordable video creation, start by comparing the Sony ZV-E10 II, Nikon Z 30, Canon EOS R50 and Panasonic LUMIX G100D—but treat them as a shortlist, not a tested ranking. Manufacturer specifications establish useful differences in recording modes and, for the Panasonic, a documented lens kit; they do not establish which camera produces the best-looking footage or costs least today. Prices and bundles vary by market, so compare the complete kit you would actually need before buying.
How to choose a low-cost camera for video
Set a budget for the whole setup, not just the camera body. An interchangeable-lens camera may need a lens suited to your framing, plus storage and any audio or support gear your project requires. Check the package contents, mount and local availability before comparing totals; the available product information does not establish a consistent bundle for all four models.

- Match frame rates to the footage: For ordinary delivery, 24p, 25p or 30p may be appropriate. Higher frame rates can provide slow-motion options, but check the specific camera’s mode table and your editing workflow.
- Check recording format and bit depth: These affect how much flexibility you have in post-production. A camera’s headline specification does not mean every resolution and frame rate supports every format or bit depth.
- Account for the lens: Confirm the mount and whether the price includes a lens. A body-only deal may not be the least expensive way to get a usable setup.
- Verify your region: Prices, stock, kit contents and model naming can differ between markets.
Four cameras to compare
| Camera | Recording details in the cited manufacturer information | Kit or other established detail |
|---|---|---|
| Sony ZV-E10 II | Sony lists 4K recording modes, high-frame-rate Full HD, and 4:2:2 10-bit modes. Consult the mode table for the exact supported combinations. | APS-C interchangeable-lens E-mount camera; cited specifications do not establish a kit lens or current price. |
| Nikon Z 30 | Nikon lists UHD 4K at 24p, 25p and 30p, plus Full HD up to 120p. | Manufacturer-listed body weight is 350 g. The cited overview does not establish a kit configuration or current price. |
| Canon EOS R50 | Canon’s UAE store page describes 4K 30p movies. | The regional page does not establish prices or package contents in other markets. |
| Panasonic LUMIX G100D | Panasonic Australia’s specifications list 4K at 24p, 25p and 30p, and Full HD through 60p. | The Australian page specifies a kit with a 12–32 mm lens. Confirm local kit contents and model designation. |
These are manufacturer-listed capabilities, not independent test results. The cited information is not consistent enough to rank autofocus, stabilization, audio quality, overheating, battery life or image quality across the four cameras.

For standard 4K delivery
The Nikon Z 30 and Panasonic G100D have explicitly listed 4K frame rates of 24p, 25p and 30p in the cited sources. Canon’s UAE page describes 4K 30p for the EOS R50. Sony lists 4K modes for the ZV-E10 II, but the exact resolution, frame rate and bit-depth combinations should be checked in Sony’s mode table rather than inferred from the headline specification.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
For slow motion
Nikon specifies Full HD up to 120p, which is the clearest high-frame-rate figure among these cited pages. Sony lists high-frame-rate Full HD for the ZV-E10 II, but consult its detailed specifications for supported modes. The Canon and Panasonic details cited here do not establish comparable high-frame-rate Full HD capabilities, so do not assume they match Nikon.
For color grading and editing flexibility
Sony’s ZV-E10 II specifications include 4:2:2 10-bit recording modes. That can be relevant when you plan substantial color correction, but it is not evidence that all modes record at 10-bit. Check the official mode table for the combination you intend to use and confirm your editing software can handle the resulting files.

Where the original Sony ZV-E10 fits
The original Sony ZV-E10 is another model worth checking if you are comparing prices. Sony lists 4K up to 30p and picture-profile options including S-Log2, S-Log3 and HLG. Those listed features do not establish that it is a better buy than the ZV-E10 II: current prices, bundle contents and a direct comparative assessment are not established here.

Check the full cost before deciding
No current, comparable body-only or kit prices are established for these cameras, so there is no supported price winner or numerical definition of “low-cost” here. Check current local listings for both body-only and lens-included packages. Compare like with like: include the lens you need, and confirm any card, microphone, tripod or spare battery is compatible with the exact model and appropriate for your recording requirements.
