In my experience, Loop Quiet 2 earplugs have helped me fall asleep within minutes when noise from neighbours would otherwise keep me awake, and I’ve found them comfortable while sleeping on my side. That is a personal result, not a guarantee: Loop’s specifications describe noise reduction and fit options, but don’t establish how quickly other people will fall asleep or whether Quiet 2 will suit every side sleeper.
What Quiet 2 does—and what its rating means
Loop describes Quiet 2 as reusable, soft-touch silicone earplugs for reducing unwanted everyday noise, including during sleep, travel, focus and relaxation. The company gives them a 24 dB SNR noise-reduction rating. That is the manufacturer’s stated rating, not a promise that a particular neighbour’s voice, music or other sound will become inaudible in your bedroom. Loop notes that the noise you experience depends on fit and surroundings. See Loop Quiet 2 earplugs.

How they feel for me as a side sleeper
I’ve found Quiet 2 comfortable enough to sleep on my side. But “perfect for side sleepers” is too sweeping as a general claim: ears differ, and the way a plug feels can change when a pillow presses against it. My experience doesn’t establish that another person will get the same comfort or sleep result.
Loop positions its Dream model as its sleep-specific option, optimized for overnight comfort, and says it is designed to maximize comfort, especially for side sleepers. That is the company’s design positioning; the available product information does not provide an independent head-to-head comfort test showing that Dream is more comfortable for every sleeper. Choosing a tip size
Quiet 2 comes with four silicone ear-tip sizes: XS, S, M and L. The range gives you options to find a fit that works for your ears; it does not mean one size or fit will work for everyone. Since fit affects the noise you experience, a comfortable, secure fit matters more than assuming the stated rating will be the result in every situation. Follow Loop’s fitting guidance for the set, and reassess if a tip feels uncomfortable or does not stay in place.
Quiet 2 or Dream for sleep?
| Model | Loop’s stated purpose | Stated noise rating | What to consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quiet 2 | Reusable noise reduction for everyday use, including sleep | 24 dB SNR, stated by Loop | A multipurpose option if you want the same earplugs for sleep and other situations; actual experience depends on fit and surroundings. |
| Dream | Sleep-specific design, positioned by Loop as optimized for overnight comfort, especially for side sleepers | Not stated in the reviewed Loop sources | Consider it if sleep is your main use and overnight comfort is your priority. This positioning is not independent comparative proof. |
Loop’s comparison page also lists Experience 2 at 17 dB SNR. Experience 2 is presented as another model in the range, but that rating alone does not make it a direct substitute for Quiet 2 for sleep. Compare Loop earplug models.

Who Quiet 2 may suit
- Choose Quiet 2 if you want reusable silicone earplugs that Loop lists for both sleep and everyday noise reduction, and you prefer to try among four included tip sizes.
- Consider Dream if your purchase is specifically about overnight comfort, particularly if you sleep on your side; the comfort claim is Loop’s positioning, not a guarantee for every ear or pillow.
- Keep expectations realistic if neighbour noise is the problem: the 24 dB SNR figure does not specify how much of a particular sound will reach you in your room.
