It is a sensible office choice if you want a familiar-looking layout and built-in wrist support without moving to a fully split keyboard. Its closer key spacing, mushy-feeling keys, lack of backlighting and fixed palm rest are the main reasons to try it before buying.
What the Logitech Wave Keys is—and who it suits
Wave Keys combines a conventional full-size key arrangement with a gently curved, slightly tented key field and a palm rest built into the keyboard. Logitech presents the shape as a way to support a more natural typing posture; that is a design rationale, not evidence that the keyboard prevents or treats wrist pain, repetitive strain injury or another medical condition.

It is best considered by office typists who want quiet typing, wireless flexibility and an integrated palm rest, but do not want the more pronounced split layout of some ergonomic keyboards. The shape is a smaller adjustment than moving to two clearly separated key clusters, though the closer spacing may still take getting used to.

Typing feel and everyday use
Quiet keys, with a soft feel
Logitech calls the key type “Plunger”; RTINGS describes the keys as quiet rubber-dome switches. RTINGS found the keyboard suitable for office use, while noting that the keys can feel mushy. If you prefer a crisp, mechanical-style response, this is unlikely to provide it.
#1 Best Overall
- Improved Typing Posture: Type more naturally with a curved, split keyframe and reduce muscle strain on your wrists and forearms thanks to the sloping keyboard design
- Pillowed Wrist Rest: Curved wrist rest with memory foam layer offers typing comfort with 54 per cent more wrist support; 25 per cent less wrist bending compared to standard keyboard without palm rest
- Perfect Stroke Keys: Scooped keys match the shape of your fingertips so you can type with confidence on a wireless keyboard crafted for comfort, precision and fluidity
- Adjustable Palm Lift: Whether seated or standing, keep your wrists in total comfort and a natural typing posture with ergonomically-designed tilt legs of 0, -4 and -7 degrees
- Ergonomist Approved: The ERGO K860 wireless ergonomic keyboard is certified by United States Ergonomics to improve posture and lower muscle strain
Wave shape and key spacing
The sculpted rows and slight tenting distinguish Wave Keys from a flat office keyboard without changing it into a fully split design. RTINGS describes the layout as somewhat cramped. That matters most if you have large hands, type by feel, or are sensitive to closely spaced keys; try the layout if possible before committing.
Palm rest and desk fit
The cushioned palm rest spans the keyboard and is integrated rather than removable, according to RTINGS. It can be convenient if you want the rest in place all the time, but less suitable if you prefer to choose your own support or keep the front edge of your desk clear. Wave Keys is 375.9 mm wide, 218.9 mm high and 30.5 mm deep; Logitech lists its weight as 750 g with batteries.

Wireless connections and device switching
The standard Wave Keys can connect over Bluetooth Low Energy or the included Logi Bolt USB receiver, which uses 2.4 GHz wireless. Logitech specifies a receiver range of up to 10 m. RTINGS reports pairing with up to three devices; Logitech describes switching between a laptop, tablet or phone using the Easy-Switch keys. Logitech lists compatibility with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iPadOS, iOS and Android; its support specifications also list Linux.
For a desktop without Bluetooth, the included receiver provides a direct wireless option. For a tablet or phone, Bluetooth may be more convenient. Check the exact package before purchase: RTINGS says the Mac-specific Wave Keys variant has Mac-specific keys, is sold in white, and does not include the Logi Bolt receiver.

Battery, durability and what comes in the box
The keyboard uses two replaceable AAA batteries. Logitech estimates up to 36 months of battery life; actual life can vary with use. Logitech also rates the keys for 10 million keypresses, a manufacturer specification rather than an independently measured lifespan. Logitech Support identifies the keyboard as model YR0096 and the receiver as CU0021; the listed box contents are the keyboard, Logi Bolt dongle and documentation.
Logitech’s support page currently lists no spare parts for this product. The product page says batteries are included, so most buyers should not need to source them separately at first.

Limitations to weigh before buying
- No backlighting: RTINGS lists this as a limitation, so Wave Keys is less suited to dim workspaces.
- Fixed palm rest: It cannot be removed, according to RTINGS; consider the whole front-to-back footprint before choosing it.
- No dedicated media controls: If you rely on dedicated controls, check the exact key layout and compare it with a keyboard designed around those shortcuts.
- Not for competitive gaming: RTINGS reports performance limitations, including an effective update-rate bottleneck and poor chord-split performance.
- Key feel and spacing are personal: The quiet, soft keys and compact spacing suit some office setups better than others. The layout may feel cramped if you want more room between keys.
How it compares with ergonomic alternatives
RTINGS describes the Logitech ERGO K860 as larger, with more widely spaced keys and more distinct left and right key clusters. Wave Keys is more compact, with closer spacing and lighter-feeling rubber-dome keys. Choose between them based on how much space you have and whether you want a modestly sculpted layout or a more pronounced split arrangement.

The Kensington Pro Fit Ergo Wireless is another option to investigate if split geometry or a negative-tilt setup matters more to you. Its design contrasts with Wave Keys’ compact layout and more conventional positive tilt options. For either alternative, compare key feel and spacing, desk footprint and palm-rest preference, wireless connections and device switching, dedicated controls, and the exact layout and receiver included in the package.
Price and buying checks
When accessed on October 4, 2026, Logitech’s US product page displayed Wave Keys at $59.99 against a $69.99 list price. That is a dated US listing snapshot, not a guaranteed ongoing price; check your local listing at purchase time. Confirm whether you are buying the standard or Mac-specific version, the key layout and color, and whether a Logi Bolt receiver is included.
Verdict
Logitech Wave Keys is worth considering for quiet office typing if you want an integrated palm rest, familiar key placement, wireless device switching and a less dramatic ergonomic shape than a fully split keyboard. It is a less convincing fit if you need backlighting, a removable rest, mechanical-feeling keys, dedicated media controls or gaming-grade performance. The main uncertainty is personal rather than technical: whether the close spacing and soft key feel suit your hands.
