Verdict: The Logitech G PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED is a premium wireless gaming headset with a detachable 48 kHz/16-bit microphone, 50 mm graphene drivers, Bluetooth and a manufacturer-rated battery life of up to 70 hours. Logitech’s US store lists it at $249.99 and shows it in stock. Those specifications make it a serious option for competitive PC players, but published material does not establish independent microphone quality, wireless latency, comfort or real-world battery endurance, so its value cannot be confirmed from specifications alone.
What the Pro X3 LIGHTSPEED includes
The PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED is built around Logitech’s proprietary LIGHTSPEED wireless connection and also supports Bluetooth. It is positioned as a competitive-gaming headset rather than a general-purpose audiophile model. Logitech lists the following core hardware:

Microphone: promising specifications, unverified results
The detachable boom uses a 48 kHz/16-bit, full-bandwidth omnidirectional microphone. That is a more specific specification than the narrow-band microphone hardware found on many older gaming headsets, and the boom can be removed when you are listening rather than communicating.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
G HUB adds optional BLUE VO!CE processing. You can therefore choose between the microphone’s unprocessed signal and software tools intended to shape voice output. The published information does not report measured frequency response, background-noise rejection, sidetone behavior or speech intelligibility in a busy room. No independent hands-on test with microphone recordings was located, so callout clarity should be treated as an open question rather than a proven strength.
Sound, imaging and EQ control
Audio comes from 50 mm PRO-G Graphene drivers. Logitech also provides a 10-band parametric equalizer, giving you more control than a simple bass-and-treble panel. A parametric EQ can target specific frequency ranges, which is useful for tailoring footsteps, reducing harshness or creating a music preset.

Driver material and EQ flexibility do not, by themselves, establish imaging accuracy, positional consistency or tonal balance. The available product information contains no independent measurements of frequency response, distortion, channel matching or spatial latency. Competitive players should regard those as test questions to check during a return window, especially if precise directional cues matter more than headline driver technology.
Wireless, Bluetooth and battery expectations
LIGHTSPEED is the headset’s primary gaming connection, while Bluetooth provides a second connection method for compatible phones, tablets and computers. The supplied specifications do not explain whether Bluetooth and LIGHTSPEED can be mixed simultaneously, which codecs are supported or how the headset behaves when switching between them. Confirm those details in the current G HUB documentation or the retailer’s return policy before buying for a specific two-device workflow.

Logitech rates battery life at up to 70 hours and describes that figure as 40 percent more than the previous generation. “Up to” is a laboratory-style ceiling, not a guaranteed runtime for every volume level, wireless mode or processing setting. Independent testing of endurance and charging time was not available, so treat the rating as a planning reference rather than a measured promise.
Comfort for long sessions
The physical design combines memory-foam ear cups, a perforated headband, rotating ear cups and two pad materials: leatherette and velour. Velour may feel less warm over long sessions, while leatherette can provide a tighter seal; the better choice depends on climate, glasses and personal fit.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
There is no published weight, clamp-force measurement or independent long-session comfort test in the available evidence. Rotating cups can help with storage and resting the headset around your neck, but they do not reveal how the frame feels after several hours. Buyers who are sensitive to pressure should verify the retailer’s exchange terms before committing at this price.

Logitech positions the Pro X3 as the next generation. The company’s stated battery improvement is 40 percent over the previous model, but the supplied material does not provide a complete, independently measured Pro X2-versus-Pro X3 test.

| Comparison point | Pro X3 LIGHTSPEED evidence | Pro X2 evidence in the supplied material |
|---|---|---|
| Battery | Logitech rates the Pro X3 at up to 70 hours | Logitech describes the Pro X3 figure as 40% higher; the Pro X2 runtime is not stated |
| Microphone | 48 kHz/16-bit detachable omnidirectional boom with optional BLUE VO!CE | Not stated |
| Drivers | 50 mm PRO-G Graphene | Not stated |
| Independent performance data | Not located for microphone, latency, comfort or battery | Not stated |
If you already own a Pro X2, the documented upgrade case is the newer hardware platform, the stated battery increase and the newer microphone specification. Whether those changes sound or feel better requires direct listening and wearing tests.
Who should consider it at $249.99?
Competitive PC players
The detachable full-bandwidth microphone, LIGHTSPEED connection and parametric EQ fit players who prioritize team communication and detailed personal tuning. Because latency and imaging are not independently measured here, esports buyers should test those traits in their own game before keeping the headset.
Players who also use Bluetooth devices
Bluetooth support makes the Pro X3 more flexible than a wireless-only headset. Check the exact simultaneous-connection and codec behavior if you need game audio and phone calls at the same time.
Console and everyday-listening buyers
The published material confirms Bluetooth and LIGHTSPEED but does not provide a complete console compatibility matrix or music-listening assessment. At this price, confirm platform support and return conditions for your setup rather than assuming every console feature is available.
What is still unknown
- Measured microphone clarity, noise rejection and processing quality
- Wireless latency and connection stability in crowded radio environments
- Frequency response, imaging and distortion measurements
- Actual battery runtime under defined volume and feature settings
- Headset weight, clamp force and comfort over multi-hour sessions
- Detailed Bluetooth behavior, codecs and simultaneous-device operation
Logitech’s Head of PRO Series Marketing, Thadeous Cooper, said, “The best PRO gear is designed with players, not just for them.” That is a company statement about the design philosophy, not an independent assessment of the Pro X3’s performance.
