Logitech lists version 2.20.28, updated May 11, 2016, and says the utility is no longer supported or maintained. Before downloading it, identify your receiver: Unifying devices use a separate pairing workflow, and neither path should be assumed to work with every Logitech keyboard or mouse.
Check your receiver before choosing a utility
Look at both the device and its USB receiver for the Unifying logo. Logitech’s Connection Utility listing is for non-Unifying receivers; Logitech documents a separate process for Unifying products. The receiver type determines which instructions to follow.

- Both device and receiver show the Unifying logo: use Logitech Unifying software and its pairing instructions, not the Connection Utility workflow.
- No Unifying logo: check the support page for your exact keyboard or mouse to identify its receiver and any applicable utility. Do not assume the legacy Connection Utility supports your model.
Logitech says a Unifying receiver can connect up to six Unifying devices. That capacity applies to compatible Unifying products, not to arbitrary Logitech receivers or devices. Logitech’s Unifying receiver guidance also makes product-specific software support relevant, so verify the exact model before pairing or replacing hardware.

Logitech’s Connection Utility support page describes the tool as a way to restore a connection between a device and a non-Unifying wireless receiver. The listing shows version 2.20.28, a file size of 1.1 MB, and an update date of May 11, 2016. It lists Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.

- TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT: This is not a standard plug-and-play receiver. It strictly requires -downloading the official Logitech Unifying Software to sync and pair with your compatible keyboard or mouse
Logitech states: “The Logitech Connection Utility is no longer supported or maintained by Logitech.” The operating-system list and version are legacy listing details, not confirmation that the installer works on current Windows releases. The page displays a Download Now control, but its present-day availability and the installer’s behavior have not been verified.
How to pair a Unifying device
These are Logitech’s documented Unifying steps, not Connection Utility setup instructions:

- Logitech Unifying receiver for mouse and keyboard
- Logitech Unifying receiver (M/N:C-U0007)
- Will work with any product that display the Unifying Logo
- The unifying receiver working with 7 mice and keyboards in the same time.
- Compatible with: Logitech wireless mouse M505 Marathon Mouse M705 Logitech Mouse M905 Logitech keyboard K340 Logitech keyboard K350
- Launch Logitech Unifying software.
- Select Next.
- When prompted, turn the device off and then back on.
- Test the keyboard or mouse when the software indicates that it is connected, then confirm and finish.
If it does not connect immediately, Logitech advises waiting briefly and retrying the pairing steps. See Logitech’s Unifying pairing instructions for the documented workflow.
If the device still will not connect
Confirm the device and receiver match
Use the exact product support page to check which receiver type and software the device supports. A Logitech receiver is not automatically compatible with every Logitech mouse or keyboard, even if it fits the USB port.

- USB-C COMPATIBILITY: Zone USB-C Receiver provides seamless connectivity for Logitech devices through USB-C ports without requiring adapters
- UNIVERSAL DESIGN: Compatible with various Logitech devices, offering plug-and-play functionality for immediate use without complex setup procedures
- RELIABLE CONNECTION: Ensures stable wireless connectivity with minimal latency for professional video calls and audio streaming
- COMPACT SIZE: The receiver's small form factor makes it easy to transport and keeps a low profile when connected to your device
- LOGITECH ECOSYSTEM: Integrates smoothly with other Logitech products, enhancing your existing setup with additional connectivity options
When a receiver is lost or damaged
Before buying a replacement, verify compatibility with the exact device model and receiver type in Logitech’s product information. Do not rely on a generic receiver description or assume that a replacement can be paired with the Connection Utility.
When the utility or pairing software is unavailable
Because Logitech no longer maintains the Connection Utility, its legacy listing cannot establish whether the download will work on your current Windows version. Consult the device’s official support page for currently applicable software and instructions rather than relying on an old installer or a third-party download mirror.
