It is a starting point for a login page—not a working authentication system. Colorlib’s collection reports a 189 KB download and says the templates use HTML, CSS, and a small amount of vanilla JavaScript.
What Login Page V02 includes
The 2026 “Login Page V02” is a compact, centered sign-in card. Its described interface presents three sign-in choices or states:

- Email and password: conventional fields for entering credentials.
- Passkey: a displayed option that must be connected to an authentication provider to perform a real sign-in.
- Magic link: a mode that removes the password field and is described as emailing a one-time sign-in link. The email delivery and verification flow require a real backend or authentication service.
Colorlib’s collection, dated September 28, 2026, lists the download at 189 KB. That is the publisher’s reported file size, not a measured page-load or performance result. The collection lists 73 entries; this is the overall listing count, not the number of Bootstrap templates.

Framework and dependencies
Colorlib describes its templates as responsive, dependency-free HTML and CSS with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript. It says they can be used on their own or within Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects. These are Colorlib’s compatibility claims; no independent compatibility test is established here.

Colorlib says Bootstrap and jQuery are not required. If you are adding the design to a project, check the downloaded files and adapt the markup and styles to your existing layout rather than assuming a particular framework is already included.
What you need to make sign-in work
The template supplies the interface, not authentication. Colorlib’s FAQ puts it plainly: “A login page template is the front end only.” To accept sign-ins, connect the form and displayed sign-in options to a real authentication service or your own server-side implementation.

- Password sign-in: implement secure credential verification, server-side validation, and session handling.
- Magic links: generate and send one-time links, then validate their tokens and expiry when users follow them.
- Passkeys: integrate a provider or implement the necessary passkey authentication flow; a button in the design does not create that capability by itself.
Account security, credential handling, and session management remain implementation responsibilities. Do not treat the demo controls as evidence that any of these flows are configured.
License and attribution
Colorlib says its templates are free for personal and commercial projects under CC BY 3.0, provided the Colorlib credit link is retained. The collection also says some items elsewhere on the page—including the uiCookies set and a WordPress plugin—have separate licenses. Check the license included with the exact Login Page V02 download before modifying or redistributing it.

Do not confuse it with the older Login Form V02
Colorlib has a separate, older page called “Login Form V02,” dated January 6, 2021. That is an image-based Bootstrap form, not the 2026 “Login Page V02” described in the current collection. Check the title and preview before downloading so you get the design you intend.

Before adopting any login template, compare the details that affect implementation rather than relying on a demo’s appearance alone:

- Which sign-in methods the interface displays, and which your authentication provider actually supports.
- Whether its layout adapts to your target screen sizes and fits your project’s existing styling.
- Which frameworks or other dependencies are required—or whether it can stand alone.
- Whether the license permits your intended use and what attribution must remain.
- Whether the download contains only a front end or includes a real authentication implementation.
For context, MDBootstrap lists a free Bootstrap 5 login template under the MIT license. That is a separate option with a different stated framework and license; it is not a ranking or evidence that either template includes a functioning authentication backend.
