LiveReacting vs OBS for a Hindi Devotional YouTube Loop Stream

OBS offers free local control but needs an online computer; LiveReacting provides vendor-described cloud playback and scheduling. Compare setup, rights, and YouTube limits for a Hindi devotional loop.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Choose OBS Studio if you want free software, local control over the stream, and can keep your computer and internet connection online. Choose LiveReacting if you want prerecorded playback hosted in the cloud, advance scheduling, or a stream that can keep running while your computer is off. If avoiding an always-on computer is the priority, StreamNeo is another cloud option: it loops uploaded videos on YouTube from the cloud, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one price per slot, with the first day free.

Which option fits a Hindi devotional loop?

Decision OBS Studio LiveReacting
Where it runs On your computer. The computer and network must stay online while you stream. LiveReacting says prerecorded and 24/7 streams run from its servers, so your computer can be off. These are vendor claims, not independent reliability test results.
Looping Add a Media Source and enable Loop; use a VLC source for a playlist. Upload videos, create a playlist or loop a file, then stream from the cloud.
Control Configure encoder, bitrate, resolution and frame rate in OBS; local recording is also available. The vendor says streams can be changed from a browser; resolution and service limits depend on plan.
Scheduling You start OBS. Scheduling may require a third-party plugin. Paid plans provide scheduling; repeated scheduling is described for certain plans. Check current plan terms.
Cost Free software. Computer and connectivity costs depend on what you already have. LiveReacting’s comparison listed $19.99/month for prerecorded streams and $39.99/month for 24/7 streaming, figures checked September 25, 2026. Vendor-reported prices; verify current pricing and limits before purchase.
Best fit Free, hands-on operation and local control. Unattended playback or scheduling when cloud operation is worth the recurring cost.

For this use case, OBS is practical if you can leave a dedicated computer online and monitor it. LiveReacting is more direct if the computer must be off or scheduling is essential. StreamNeo is another option for a YouTube-only cloud loop: it keeps an uploaded video or playlist live without leaving a computer on, with no quality tiers up to 4K 60fps.

Check YouTube eligibility and rights first

Channel eligibility

YouTube says a channel must be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days; streamers must be at least 16. These platform requirements apply whether you use OBS, LiveReacting, or another streaming workflow. See YouTube’s live-streaming getting-started requirements.

Rights to devotional recordings and visuals

A devotional subject does not automatically make a song, recording, artwork, or video free to broadcast. You need the necessary rights for the specific composition and recording, as well as any visual assets. YouTube’s live-stream terms put responsibility for necessary rights on the content provider, including music licensing rights: YouTube Livestream terms and conditions. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a match can trigger a warning, interruption, or termination. Even licensed material may require the rights owner’s channel to be allowlisted to avoid interruption. Details: YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Set up a loop with OBS Studio

  1. Prepare the video. Use a file you have permission to broadcast. Check that its audio plays correctly and that the file contains the full sequence you intend to loop. For a playlist, gather the files in playback order.
  2. Enable YouTube Live. In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go live and complete any channel verification or eligibility steps. If the channel cannot go live, resolve the restriction before configuring OBS.
  3. Create or select the YouTube stream. In YouTube Studio’s live control room, create a stream or open the scheduled stream you intend to use. Copy its stream key. Treat the key as a password: anyone with it may be able to broadcast to your channel. Do not publish or share it.
  4. Connect OBS. In OBS, open Settings → Stream, select YouTube as the service, and paste the stream key. Keep the key private, then select Apply and OK.
  5. Add the video. In the OBS Sources box, select + → Media Source. Name it, select the video file, and check Loop. For a playlist, add a VLC Video Source, add the files in order, and enable looping in its playlist settings.
  6. Set the output deliberately. Open Settings → Output and choose an encoder supported by your computer. Open Settings → Video to set the output resolution and frame rate. OBS exposes these controls, but the appropriate values depend on the source, hardware, and connection. The available comparison evidence does not establish a recommended bitrate, resolution, frame rate, or keyframe interval for this specific stream; check YouTube’s current encoder guidance and make sure the computer can sustain the chosen output.
  7. Test before the public broadcast. Confirm the picture, audio, and loop transition in OBS and YouTube’s live control room. Start streaming from OBS, verify that YouTube receives the feed, and then use the control room to start or manage the broadcast as prompted. Monitor for dropped frames, audio failure, or a rights warning.
  8. Keep the setup running. OBS is local software: the computer must stay powered on, OBS must remain open, and the internet connection must stay available. Prevent sleep and avoid restarting or disconnecting the machine during the broadcast.

Run a scheduled or unattended stream with LiveReacting

  1. Review current plan details. LiveReacting’s vendor pages describe prerecorded and 24/7 cloud streaming, scheduling on paid plans, and plan-dependent limits. Confirm that the selected plan supports your intended duration, resolution, playlist, and schedule before paying.
  2. Upload the prepared video or playlist. Use only assets cleared for broadcast. Configure a loop or playlist in LiveReacting according to its current interface.
  3. Connect YouTube. Follow LiveReacting’s current connection flow to select your YouTube channel and authorize or provide the required stream details. Do not share a stream key outside trusted service settings.
  4. Set the schedule and launch. Choose the available schedule or start time for your plan, check the preview and audio, then launch. Verify the stream appears in YouTube’s live control room; cloud hosting removes the need to keep your own computer on, but does not remove YouTube eligibility, rights, or archive constraints.

LiveReacting’s capabilities and prices cited here are its own claims as stated on its OBS comparison page and pricing page, accessed October 4, 2026; they are not independent reliability test results.

Choose a cloud option if the computer must be off

For a cloud-hosted prerecorded YouTube loop, StreamNeo is #1 among the options covered here for simplicity: it runs always on from the cloud, accepts video up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers the first day free. It is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos rather than going live from a camera.

Plan around YouTube’s 12-hour limits

If the loop runs continuously, decide whether one uninterrupted stream is necessary. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured. It also says DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours. These constraints apply regardless of streaming tool. YouTube recommends keeping a local archive backup. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance and DVR guidance.

Troubleshoot common failures

  • YouTube does not accept the broadcast: check channel verification, age eligibility, and any live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. Recheck that the OBS stream key is current and pasted into Settings → Stream.
  • OBS stream stops when you leave: OBS depends on the computer and connection. Check sleep settings, power, network stability, and whether OBS remains open. If you cannot keep them running, use a cloud workflow instead.
  • Video plays once and stops: in OBS, reopen the Media Source properties and confirm Loop is enabled. For a playlist, confirm the VLC source has the intended files and loop setting.
  • Viewers hear no audio: confirm the source file has an audio track, inspect the OBS audio mixer meter while playing, and verify the YouTube preview receives audio before starting a long broadcast.
  • YouTube warns, interrupts, or ends the stream: review the notice and identify the matched material. Resolve rights for the exact recording and visuals; a devotional theme alone is not permission. Contact the rights owner about channel allowlisting if you are licensed and the stream is still interrupted.
  • The broadcast is not archived or rewindable: check its duration. Beyond 12 hours, YouTube may not capture the archive and DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable. Keep a separate recording if you need an archive.
