LiveReacting Alternatives for a 24/7 YouTube Music Stream

Compare cloud playlist services with OBS for a 24/7 YouTube music stream, then check the rights, archive, and monetization limits that matter.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For an unattended 24/7 YouTube music stream, choose a cloud service that explicitly supports continuous playlists; choose OBS Studio if you want a free, local setup and can keep a computer and internet connection running. StreamNeo is the first cloud option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. LiveReacting is another cloud playlist option, while OBS shifts the uptime work to your own computer. The right choice depends on playlist controls, continuous-stream limits, cost, and—most importantly—whether you have the rights to stream the music.

Which LiveReacting alternative fits a 24/7 music stream?

There are two practical approaches: run a playlist on a cloud provider’s servers, or send it from a computer you operate. Cloud hosting can keep the stream running while your computer is off. With OBS Studio, the stream comes from your computer, so your equipment, connection, and configuration become part of the uptime plan.

LiveReacting’s comparison also names services such as Gyre and StreamYard. A general-purpose live or multistreaming service should not be assumed to support an uninterrupted, looping 24/7 playlist. Verify continuous duration, loop behavior, destination support, scheduling, playlist editing, and the plan’s current limits before committing.

How to choose: cloud playlist or OBS?

Choose cloud hosting when unattended operation matters

A cloud service is the better fit when you do not want to leave a computer running at home or depend on a home connection to keep the broadcast going. Compare whether the service genuinely loops playlists continuously, how it handles a dropped YouTube connection, what quality it accepts, how much storage is included, and whether playlist changes or scheduling are available. Ask how its stated limits apply to your intended stream rather than assuming that “live streaming” means unlimited continuous playback.

Choose OBS when you want local control and can maintain the setup

OBS is a reasonable route if you are comfortable configuring a media source or playlist and can keep the computer, OBS, and internet connection available around the clock. It avoids a streaming-service subscription, but it does not remove the practical costs of power, hardware wear, network interruptions, software restarts, or troubleshooting. It is not an unattended cloud service.

  • Analog mixing and equalization for pure sound
  • Direct mixing of PC/gaming sounds into the streaming output
  • Ultra-low noise analog mixer for streaming, podcasting and recording

Compare the whole operating burden

  • Looping and duration: confirm that playlists repeat as intended and whether the service imposes a maximum stream duration.
  • Destination: check that the provider supports YouTube and the exact stream-key workflow you need. Do not infer YouTube support from a service’s multistreaming label.
  • Control: compare playlist ordering, shuffle, scheduling, and how changes are applied to an active stream.
  • Recovery: find out what happens after a dropped connection or a YouTube interruption, and what requires your intervention.
  • Total cost: compare provider charges with the cost and effort of running a local machine continuously. Prices and plans can change.
  • Music rights: establish that your license covers the music’s use in a continuous YouTube livestream; a technical streaming feature does not grant music rights.

What does LiveReacting cost, and how should you compare prices?

LiveReacting’s comparison page reported a 24/7 plan at $39.99 per month or $33 per month when billed yearly, checked September 23, 2026. Those are vendor-reported, date-sensitive figures, not an independently verified current quote; confirm the live price and included limits on the provider’s site before purchase. The same comparison describes Live247 as billed by the hour but does not establish a rate in the available material.

Music rights, YouTube interruptions, archives, and monetization

Clear the music rights before going live

YouTube’s official livestream terms require the channel operator to have the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. See YouTube’s livestream terms. A streaming service or a music subscription does not by itself establish that you may broadcast tracks continuously on YouTube.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party content. A stream can be interrupted or terminated if third-party content remains. For licensed content, YouTube says to ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; having a license alone does not guarantee that automated enforcement will leave a live stream uninterrupted. Follow YouTube’s guidance on live-stream copyright and keep documentation of your permissions. StreamNeo’s copyright safety checklist can help organize those checks.

Do not rely on a full replay archive of a 24/7 broadcast

YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, while a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. A continuous broadcast should therefore not be treated as a reliable way to create a complete replay; preserve source files separately if you need an archive. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

A looping stream is not a monetization guarantee

YouTube’s monetization policy says monetized content should be original and authentic, and identifies repetitive or mass-produced material as “inauthentic content”; the policy was clarified on July 15, 2025. A technically continuous music loop does not guarantee acceptance into the YouTube Partner Program or ongoing monetization. Review YouTube’s channel monetization policies, especially if the stream reuses the same material with little variation or added value.

YouTube reported that channels using live automatic mid-roll ads saw over 20% uplift in in-stream ad revenue per hour on average compared with channels that did not enable the feature, across 207 countries in January 2024. That is a historical platform-wide average, not an earnings forecast for an individual music channel; YouTube also says ad slots are not guaranteed to serve. See YouTube’s live automatic mid-roll information.

Set up a local 24/7 stream with OBS Studio

This route puts the stream on your computer rather than a provider’s cloud. The key requirement is not just setting up a playlist once: the machine, OBS, and network must stay available, and someone needs a plan for interruptions.

  1. Prepare the content and permissions. Put the audio or video files you are authorized to stream in a dedicated folder. Check that your rights cover YouTube livestreaming and that any applicable Content ID allowlisting is arranged before relying on a long broadcast.
  2. Create the YouTube live stream. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and obtain its stream key. Treat the key as a password: do not publish it or share it with an untrusted service. YouTube may require live streaming to be enabled for the channel before the first broadcast.
  3. Configure OBS for the YouTube ingest. In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service, and connect the account or enter the stream key. Use the ingest settings YouTube presents for the channel and stream; avoid copying a key into screenshots, chat, or public notes.
  4. Add the playlist source. Add the media source or playlist in OBS, point it to your prepared files, and enable looping or repeat playback. Check ordering and transitions with a short private or unlisted test before using it for a public continuous broadcast.
  5. Set output and video to match the source and connection. In Settings > Output, choose a bitrate and encoder appropriate to the resolution, frame rate, and sustained upload speed; in Settings > Video, set the base canvas and output resolution and frame rate. Use YouTube’s current recommended encoding settings for your selected format rather than guessing a bitrate, and use a stable wired connection where possible. Leave headroom below measured upload capacity so ordinary network variation does not saturate the connection.
  6. Check stream health before leaving it unattended. Start the stream and verify YouTube Studio reports a healthy incoming signal, the audio is audible, the picture is correct, and the playlist advances and repeats. Confirm any scheduled start, title, visibility, and latency choices in YouTube Studio.
  7. Plan for recovery. Disable sleep and automatic shutdown, keep power and networking stable, and decide how OBS will be restarted after a crash, software update, or connection loss. A local loop is only continuous while the local system remains operational; monitor YouTube Studio and test your recovery procedure.

Or let it run in the cloud

With StreamNeo, upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Your upload streams as made up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Troubleshooting common 24/7 stream problems

  • YouTube interrupts the stream for a copyright match: stop or replace the matched material, review the claim, and confirm the license covers livestream use. If the material is licensed, ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting; a license does not itself prevent an automated interruption.
  • The stream drops when you leave: on OBS, check for sleep, power loss, network instability, software crashes, and YouTube Studio stream health. A local computer must stay operational. With a cloud provider, check its recovery behavior and the YouTube connection status rather than assuming a reconnect happened.
  • The playlist stops or repeats the wrong item: test the full playlist and loop setting before launch, confirm the media files remain accessible, and verify the provider’s or OBS’s current playlist behavior after edits.
  • The stream looks unstable or buffers: compare sustained upload capacity with the configured output bitrate, reduce output demands if the connection cannot hold them, and check encoder load and YouTube Studio’s health indicators.
  • There is no complete replay: a 24/7 stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured by YouTube. Keep a separate copy of the source media rather than relying on the live archive.
  • Monetization is rejected or limited: review YouTube’s current monetization policy and assess whether the channel offers original, authentic value instead of repetitive or mass-produced loops. Continuous uptime alone does not establish monetization eligibility.
